I've been smoking for about 7 years, and during that time every job I've had has been damaging to my lungs, I've been exposed to a nice big variety of chemicals, and am now allergic to any petroleum based products, and at risk for some growths in my lungs from some of the oils. I've been exposed to acids, toxic chemicals, sawdusts, vapors from molten metal(incl lead), machines and a whole big long list of other fun chemicals, I always thought smoking was fine since I was killing my lungs for money, why not enjoy it too?
This past year I turned 22, went back to school and also got a nice case of pneumonia this week, some nasty antibiotics and a pile of side effects. I'm done. They aren't importing the tobacco I liked anymore anyways(america spirit blue pouch) and I've got about a carton of tailormades, and a few cigars with no desire to smoke again. I'm finally done, quit a few times but turns out the smoking was keeping some other things at bay, physical and mental.
I hit on the idea of a e-cig from some advertising I'd seen, found my way here somehow, and am looking to order a kit and avoid cracking another pack. I was looking at the V4L

I'm of the buy once cry once school of thought to some extent, this seemed to provide me the best balance of longevity, and use without needing to charge the longest, I'm not interested in mucking about with bits, I've got a computer and a free broken motorbike if i wanna do that.
I'm an art student, with the usual student loans(covers tuition, rent, some food and sometimes a new toy) So I can't afford to drop tons of cash, that 140$ish is going to put a decent dent in my budget(150$ is half a months rent)
I'm happy to drop the money if it means I'm getting a long lasting quality product, I'm concerned about the bans, and if my order vaporizes at customs
I won't buy another. Is there anyone who sells the same kit in Canada? I like long battery life, and automatic draw. I was planning to load up on a bunch of blank cartridges at the same time, I'd like some flavors too but...
I read about a loophole that if it was going to a non-canadian it is ok. Does this apply to permanent residents as well, I could order it as a gift for someone if not.
