What a fabulous start to posting on the ECF @Robby Wilson - The thread opener was just brilliant!

There is no 'best' watts, only bad tasting vapor when you realize they mostly are too optimistic about the possible watt range of factory coils. I more or less vape half of the maximum. If I want to vape at 40w, I'll use a coil rated up to 80w or 100w.

With that in mind, not that I would comment on parts of the male anatomy , it does often make sense to over-specify your equipment.
My laptop is running on at 44% Ram and my coil is running at 32w instead of an optimistic 50 or 60w.
I also prefer to drive a 2 litre car at speeds capable by a 1 litre, because it's more refined.

I like a refined experience generally. Let me stoke the fire, get my butler to deliver more tobacco juice to my vaporizer and top up my real ale.

Welcome. :)

Thank you, and I had similar thoughts in regards to the coils. In addition, I would expect that SMOK would much prefer the higher wattage also as this would make you go through coils faster. I have turned the wattage down to 35 watts which seems to be my sweet spot. I also tried out a combination this morning that was stellar. I mixed some milk chocolate with creme brulee and that turned out to be a killer combo. I went on a juice ordering bender online after my morning meetings today. I pretty much ran the gauntlet, including a white chocolate macadamia nut variety that sounds tantalizing, and another that supposedly recreates the taste of a Snickers bar, which was always a favorite of mine growing up.

I hope all this love I am developing for chocolate does not spiral into a desire for actual chocolate. The last thing I need is to be strung out in from of the Godiva store and pack on 30 pounds over the next couple of months.

Gotta be honest, since quitting smoking I have gained 10 pounds, but I don't blame my flavors, I blame the fact that food actually tastes good to me now, but that's okay, I actually needed those pounds, and that was with a bunch of oral surgery.

I seem to have slowed down on the "shove everything in my mouth" situation, but honestly, it actually wasn't sweets it was stuff like protein and raw vegetables. Oh, how I have missed raw vegetables for way too long.... I am often to be seen with a vape in one hand and a stick of celery in the other (my surgery was for denture implants, which turn dentures into more like real teeth, you can chomp on stuff like steak and radishes and.... I think you get the idea.)

I hope you enjoy your flavors, but they aren't going to be your problem (if you have one) it will be an uncontrollable desire to Eat MOAR once your tastebuds return.... Though you may also find yourself diluting some of those flavors as your tastebuds return, so don't go TOO nuts, or be prepared to buy some PG/VG, LOL.

I make a DIY liquid from concentrate intended to taste of choco/nut/almond candy bar.
I give it a mark of 3/10 at most.
As for eating the real thing... yup... I have been on a chocolate splurge now for 5 years. It started the day I quit smoking and got worse as my taste buds got healthier (or whatever they do..).

I looked quite ill and overweight in the face 3-5 months after quitting smoking. My weight has leveled out over the last year and recently I've lost a few pounds too.

I can count the number of times I have eaten actual chocolate in the last 5 years on one hand. Sweets have just never really been my thing, which is why I find it so bizarre that after trying over a dozen liquids in the shop that all the chocolate varieties made the alarm bells go off for me. Then again, it's not like they had fried chicken, double cheeseburger, or Taco Bell flavored vapes for me to try either :)

Actually they do have those type of flavors. I've heard the pizza is particularly good.;)

Oh and I found my old ecig in my closet from my previous quitting attempt. I put a battery in and she works, but got an "output too high" error message when I screwed my tank in it. Anybody know what the deal is? Sorry for my ignorance.

Sounds like maybe a subohm tank on a above ohm mod? That’s my guess but I could be way off. Good luck

output too high
"Reduce Volts / Watts or Replace Atomizer – This error can occur if the voltage or wattage is set too
high and P3 cannot safely power the atomizer with your current settings. This can also happen if you
have the voltage or wattage set too high along with the boost mode set too high. Try lowering your
settings. Most of the time, if you have these power settings too high, you will be burning the juice and it
won't taste very good or you risk burning out your atomizer.
Replace Atomizer and Try Again – This can happen if the resistance of your atomizer is too low or has
failed. Anytime the resistance of your atomizer drops, in most cases it has burned up or failed. This can
also occur if you make your own coil on a RBA and you go below the resistance level that is safe.
Typically this is anything below .70 ohms. Try installing a new atomizer and see if the problem goes
away.
Let Cool and Replace Battery – While these are very rare error messages, the system is monitoring for
an unsafe condition with your battery. If your battery ever gets too hot and it's not safe to use, carefully
remove the battery and discard. If the unit is too hot, it's best to set it down and wait for it to cool off
before removing the cell. Anytime you have a battery fail, always discard the cell and replace it with a new
one. Never try to recharge or reuse a bad battery. Also remember to always use the correct batteries in
the P3.
Return for Repair – If you get this error, try installing a new battery and replace the atomizer to see if the
problem goes away. If you continue to get this error, contact customer service for assistance.
Use Correct Battery – This error will occur if you try to stack two batteries together or you use the wrong
battery. Replace your battery or only use one cell and try again."

Thanks @BrotherBob ! I will take it with me next time I go to the vape shop also and see if we can't get her working properly. My guess is my current tanks the big baby beast and the gnome that came with the Wismec are not kosher with the device. Probably have to buy a different tank.

Hey Robby and welcome!

^^X2

It seems you are on an excellent path. Bye-bye stinkies!
Sounds like you may also come to like the hobby aspect of it all.
As your adventure continues, look into rebuildable atomizers (RTA) and DIY juice.
Let's you customize your experience and saves loads of $$.
Lot's of great info around here on all of that!
