Just thought I'd post a hi here from Fort Collins, Colorado. My fiance got a vape pen a few weeks ago and I've been taking some pulls from it till I finally said I want my own.

Picked up this eGo kit from VapeDudes that came with 2 batteries, charger, needle bottle and 2 Ce4 Long wick Clearomizer/Atomizers along with 3 juices and I could NOT be happier. Had my last cigarette yesterday and loving the fact that i'm not smelling like a chimney anymore. I feel a little odd though when i'm out on the street and I pull this pen out.

I did notice that my first time that I used the pen, it was harsh in my throat but after that first, it was fine. Why is that?

Now I just need to find the right juice for me! :)

Congrats on putting down the cigarettes, and good luck. It has been pretty painless for me so far and I love it.

I had the same experience the first time I tried my ego - I coughed a bit. I think I wasn't doing it right. It is different from smoking a cigarette. There is a sticky on here someplace about inhalation tips. It was helpful.

You're totally right. It's definitely different from smoking a cigg but very easy to get used to once you know how. This forum's a big help along with a bunch of YouTube videos I've seen.

I think I should've bought another clearomizer though because it sounds like cleaning it to put a different juice in is a pain in the ....!

I think I'm just not picky - and lazy, too. When I got a different juice, I just poured what was left back into its little bottle, and put the new juice in. The original was a tobacco flavor, and the new one was Banana Nut Bread. It tasted okay, too. But I don't have much experience to compare.:)

Hello Pinky!!! Love to see FoCo folks around these parts. I recently moved down south to the Springs, and miss FoCo so much. I lived there for 13 years before making the trek south. Hope you are well and find some great juices. Congrats on making the switch! There are a few local shops up there in Old Town, so check them out to see if you can find some juices there. Cheers to you!

Welcome to ecf! An ego twist or vision spinner would be a good battery to get you moving along. The harshness..... vape is different than smoking. I used to take big drags when I smoked, when I tried that vaping it was like trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose. Now I hit the button on my pv and take a "half drag", without forcing it.....if that makes sense, and I get good results. Took some adjustment but it becomes 2nd nature.

Yea my fiance took me to a shop in Old Town that we great! I think that'll be my go to place for juices. I just moved to FoCo and I love it here!

I've noticed a lot of people say to keep drinking water. I'm a big water drinker so that's not an issue but why stay hydrated?

Congrats on making the switch and welcome to ECF!
This is one of the best places to be for new and seasoned vapers, the community here is awesome for all kinds of support when needed. My first experience with crappy, weak, disposable cig-alikes was harsh IMO also so I agree that it probably has to do with getting used to the vapor and a different way of "hitting" it compared to analog cigs. Good luck and don't give up!

As for hydration, vaping is good at drying us out. You can end up with a sore throat, dry or chapped lips, and worst of all a case of "vapers tongue" which leaves you not able to taste your juice for a while. Yup, hydration is your friend when you vape. :)

Hello fellow Coloradoan, I can't explain the first time smoke, happens to me every first drag of the day. You will get over the wierdness of pulling it out, it comes with use. It's just like pulling out a cigarette when you first started smoking. If you ever come to Denver check out vapor leaf! My favorite local shop!

Love how friendly everyone is on ECF! Thanks for the welcome.

Yea I absolutely love the beer options in FoCo. One of my favorite things about living here coming from NYC.

Last night I picked up Alice in Vapelands Zombie Apocalypse juice and a Kanger Mini Pro Tank 2....WOW. Just simply amazing. I was enjoying it so much last night, all of a sudden 1AM creeped up up on me!

Here's a question, how long do you guys usually Vape for?
