Hello,
My name is Mark, and I am from a small town in Indiana. I'm new to the forum, but have been vaping for awhile now. I started several years ago with a unit from Nicotine Green, but didn't like it much, so I went back to analog for years. I recently started vaping again this past May, and am a bit overwhelmed with all the changes. I'm glad to be a part of this forum now, and have a place that I can research and find loads of information. Thanks for letting me join.

Welcome Mark! I'm not toooooo far from you. If you ever get down to the Fort, there are a handful of decent shops, although my favorite is CravinVapes. I bought a lot of juices from them - all made in-store, to order. Started DIYing a few months ago, so it's kind of a rarity that I drop in these days.

What kind of gear you using now? I started with cigalikes about 4 years ago. Dropped them for quite some time, but resurrected them in February. Then I started realizing there was so much more out there. Happily hitting MVPs, a Zmax V3, and a Vamo V6 topped with Nautiluses or mostly Protank 2s for which I rebuild my coils.

Welcome aboard!

I do get some of my juices from CravinVapes. I also picked up a Kanger EMOW tank from them that I use daily now. I have an eGo tank starter kit that I got from MVS as well, but prefer the EMOW. I picked up a Vision Spinner 2 from the CravinVapes in Auburn, but I am pretty sure it is a fake/clone, so I am returning it today. I'd like to get into DIY eventually, but I think I'm going to start learning to rebuild coils before I try mixing my own liquid. Don't want to try to learn it all at the same time.haha.

But you have the wonderful people of ecf to help you if you need it. Let me add that not only is ecf full of information. . . but a darn good support group if you need us. Have fun and happy vaping.

WHEN you're ready to rebuild (there's lots of reading I encourage you to do FIRST, like this: E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs) here are a couple of simple links that talk about rebuilding Kanger heads. I had a lot of them from all the EVOD tanks I'd started with.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coil-builds/432047-my-bad-pictorial-evod-rewicking-cotton-recoiling.html
and
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/brookj1986/6066-simple-protank-coil-replacement.html

Tools can be simple (I use a 1/16" drill bit, tweezers, nail clippers and some beard trimming scissors, wire and wicking material) or you can get mini/micro wire cutters, ceramic-tipped tweezers (which I probably really should get), coil jigs, etc. The MOST IMPORTANT tool is some sort of ohmmeter.

It's pretty fun - I like that I can better-control my vape by the resistance I wind. I also have found I prefer cotton to silica as my wicking material. So, for about $7, I have enough kanthal and cotton to wind about 400 coils.

Get settled into your new gear. Make sure you read and ask questions if you have them. Lots of great folks here willing to answer them for ya.
