Hello, my name is John and I'm located in San Mateo CA. I've been browsing this forum for quite a while as a guest and finally decided that I'd register and say hello.

I quit smoking analogs last year, June 13 and started vaping with the standard eGo style battery and the cheap disposable ce4's that came with the kit. I thought it was pretty good, since before that I had tried e-cigs along the lines of the blu and a few other even cheaper types... wasn't long before I moved to a larger Vision Spinner and VV and tanks - the iSmokas being my favorite and the most consistent, although I do also have a PT2. However, the weak point of these tanks is that the coils are sometimes hard to find and with the PT2 in particular seemed there seemed to be about a 50% chance of just getting a dud that popped in a day or less... and neither really lasted more than a few days before their performance simply left much to be desired.

So, fast forward to today and I'm using a MVP2 and a Aqua RBA (dual coil of 32g at 1.7) and still learning. I'm amazed at the Aqua and the fact that after a week of vaping the coils are still like new (after I went through about 3 feet of Kanthal learning how to build a good micro coil, lol) and all I've had to do was change the wicks once (cotton - and I probably could have gone a while longer). I have a Seigeli 20w coming soon although, honestly, the MVP2 works great with the Aqua even in dual coil configuration - cranked to it's max of 11w.

Anyhow, the last week has been an adventure and I've learned that I really don't know .... and figured that it would be nice to be able to ask questions when my searches send me into an endless loop. :D

Welcome! Sounds like you've moved quite along in your time! Funny how two things happen when you learn about ECF. First, you learn a lot. Second, you start buying things that you don't really *need*. :) I just got my Aqua (and matching Origin) in here not too long ago, looking forward to building on it...looks like a nice platform.

Glad you decided to join us! Enjoy the ride!

Thanks!

I have a small dripper that I really hate. Doesn't work very well and it's hard to build on because of it's cramped design... so I was a big dubious about the Aqua... however, now that I got it working right and learned the little tricks for it (wicking, how to fill) it blows my mind. I'm not a cloud chaser but damn this thing produces them time after time. lol
