Well it seems every time I try to copy a recipe I do not have the flavor. So I have 3 or 4 types of sweet cream and various custards from different companies. There is site (not sure which one but, it is out there) that you put in your flavors and it spits out some recipe's. So Gratch are you and ex-smoker? Also want to say thanks to who gave me a trophy for points on this forum. Not sure what it means but gonna look it up. So whoever gave it to me...thanks.

Yup i smoked for about 30 years, 15 cigs then 15 rolling my own. Kind of didnt even plan on stopping just started to use a cigalike my sister got me the other year after i realised i could refil the carts then got an endura t18e and havnt looked back, health is so much better in just a few weeks! Thanks, not sure if Gratch (the other newbie) saw this. I wrote somewhere above in my rambling that I was making Mothers Milk and Unicorn Milk Clone and both were too strawberry for me. One of them was 6.5% and that was too much for me. This one you wrote has 11%. I think I will like that cause of the amount. No?

At that percentage, the sweet cream and strawberry work well together. The touch of butter brings out the creaminess :)
Its not overly strawberry, we have been vaping this blend for a lil over three years, its our all day vape :)

Thank you. I'll give it a go. Ok, so that is it huh...does not matter the % of strawberry cause it has equal amount cream? K. New to all this but willing to learn. Also question...have few type of strawberry and yours calls for the ripe. Was wondering the Cap's sweet strawberry, which one is sweeter? Does ripe mean sweet also?

Lets hope there is no other Maine. Anyways, kinda said that cause did not want folks from other countries think we up here in Maine were special and that everyone around the globe should know where it is. I don't know...did not want to sound like USA is the only country that matters and if you don't know where my state is then the heck with ya. Who knows, maybe there is a Maine in Ethiopia.

Capella strawberry is stronger than TFA strawberry, I would start with 6% CAP strawberry. Ripe tastes like real strawberries. Some sweets taste like strawberry candy.

That is a LOT of flavors. I like flavor art flavorings myself. Congrats on DIY, that's fantastic, I was pleasantly surprised myself at the ease of doing it (though, I keep it pretty simple ATM).

Have fun experimenting, start with small sizes if you are making a complex recipe with multiple ingredients, you may hate it! I also found (at least with my flavorings) that I can use a much lower percentage than the typical recommendation.... So if I'm using a flavoring that may have "issues" (not that I was aware that custards could until now :) ) I tend to use WAY less of it. I know to stay away from vanilla and cinnamon, but for all I know that's another urban legend that has been debunked (since I'm not a major fan of either, I don't mind being wrong, LOL)....

Happy vaping!

Thanks Anna that was a nice reply you left me. I see you also made the switch from analogs...hip hip...etc., etc. Was not aware I had an extensive flavor collection till now. I figured everyone that DIY'd had them. Every time I would copy a recipe it seemed (for instance), a TFA sweet cream could only be used and then the next a CAP's was the answer. So without knowledge of the mixing I just went ahead and purchased what the recipe called for. And in the beginning it seemed I never had the right one. Now it is a little better with my collection. And the money? Well, it ain't nothin compared to a couple packs of Red's a day X 7 X 52 X 30. And I do enjoy mixing as well. I do not have a very good palate because of my previous 30 years smoking but, copying recipe's off the nice people willing to share I don't really have to. And don't even miss the analogs (6 months free). The time I used to sit outside and smoke 2 or 3 cigs, I am mixing and the other times I'm vaping. So ya, this was one of my better decisions I have made in my life. Counteracts some (not all) of the bad ones I have made.

Hey, how goes? Fellow New Englander here (sort of- moved around a lot as a kid, but lived in Vermont more than anywhere else. In Mass now...)

As for the number of flavors... I think it really depends on temperament, reasons for DIYing, how much you like to fool with recipes, etc. A lot of people DIY very successfully with a handful of flavors that make a few recipes they like and just make in big batches. I'm not one of those people. I have more than 150 flavors, but not _that_ many more. There are def people out there with well over 500, and they still complain about always missing one flavor from recipes. The rabbit hole can go pretty deep.

One thing to be aware of is that flavors do lose potency over time. So having a lot of flavors will eventually mean some waste. Still, especially since you're heavy on TFA flavors, I'm going to guess that all your flavors put together must have cost you less than smoking two packs of Reds a day would for a month (not sure what cigarette prices are like in Maine, but I'm guessing they aren't cheap.)

DIY, even if you buy a lot of flavors, is much less expensive than a lot of hobbies. Climbing Everest with a guide can cost upward of $60,000.00. And DIY is probably safer and more enduring. If DIY lasts the rest of your life that's probably a good thing. if climbing Everest lasts the rest of your life, not so much. And if treating it like a hobby helps keep you from smoking it's definitely worth it.

As for sites that spit out recipes based on your stash, there's one that can't be linked to from here, 'cause reasons. It's not really the one I would recommend first anyway though, as a lot of the recipes in it are not very good. alltheflavors.com is a better site for that, IMHO. It has a lot less recipes, but they are higher quality. And it has a feature that can also list recipes for which you lack either one or two flavors- not sure if that will help or hurt you when it comes to the sudden and irrational urge to order more flavors ;).

But yeah, at a certain point it does make sense to sit back and play with the flavors you have. You have enough flavors there to make a lot of good recipes. I might be tempted to supplement that stash with some FLV, MF, and INW, but... that's the obsessive in me talking.

Hi members, been reading posts on ECF for a few months and bout time I registered to support the vaping community. Gave up smoking 5 or 6 months ago moved to vaping and totally enjoying it. Quickly switched from buying juice to DIY'ng with about 150 or so flavors I have purchased so far.
Welcome and glad you joined.
Can see you have learned like I have, 150 flavors will keep you busy for quite awhile. I see you have maximized the number of flavors by a select brand selection, very wise.

Thanks for the reply go_player. Yup, New Englander all the way for me. Maine is just another stop for me. I am or was originally based out of Brewster (Cape Cod) after growing up in Easton. Then a stint in Plaistow, NH and lastly to where it is coldest cause wife grew up here in Rangeley. Atleast I have not had to root for any other sport teams while moving. Go Pats, Sox, Celtics and Bruins...possibly in that order. My vape collection I guess you could say is mostly TFA. But if a recipe specifically requires a different vendor then I will listen to the Vape Master. And as for climbing Everest...um no...afraid of heights...well those kind of heights.

BrotherBob, shoutout to ya for replying. I'm, sure our paths will meet again on this forum.
And thanks for all that have come out to say hi to me!
