Thank you all for your replies, very informative for a newbie! I read they are all made in china, so I feel a bit better now :p.
It seems to be working for me, I have had a few normal cigarettes, but I have definitely cut down using the vape.

Also, the reason I gathered it was a ce4 is because on the battery it says EGO-CE4, the replacement I have on hand does hold 1.6ml though. I'm slightly getting confused with things like the CE5 I have seen online, are these better, or just a product code?

Regards, Conan.

CE 2, 3, 4, etc. are just different versions of the same style of clearomizer--top coil, polycarbonate. Some people like them, I'm not a fan. CE5 is a CE4 with replaceable coils. I just prefer the Kangers BCC clearos. Kanger T2 is their only top coil model, and I like it, too.

We need to start a thread for people struggling to get their partners vaping!

I am also struggling with my wife, shes trying it and has cut down the analogs but shes not quite loving it and certainly not ready to stop fully.

v1ck.

I know, it's desperate. Mrs DJS just can't seem to do it.

That pic looks like the pen top (comes with 10s)? First one I've seen. Do NOT get that one! It only has the 510 thread. The V3 has 510 and ego and the newest one has 6 rivets so the bottom doesn't fall out when you disconnect the charger. Someone was posting a link to 101vapes (I think) for the best US price :)

Oh, my fault... I thought it was the iTaste VV v.3

If that is the iPen (EP) then I don't want that one, I want the big brother. No EPiPens aroud here. :)

I have been thinking about iTaste for ages, but have been putting it off. My Spinner is playing up today, to today is the day.

I expect my Spinner just needs a good charge....but I won't tell anybody. shh...

Sorry, it was just an illustration. You're right.

What I recommend really is the Version 3 with dual eGo-510 connection and 6 rivets:

Innokin iTaste VV (V3) Express kit - 101 Vape

The MVP is nice too. 2600 mAh or so. If you don't mind the box shape and the size.

I started with CE4. I'm assuming you are in the UK? If so. Check out the starter kits on myepack. They offer great service.
What starter kit? It's up to you but I went for a kanger mini protank 2 which is a handy and cheap kit, plus you can re-build it quite cheaply as well.

Good luck and welcome!

I've been happy with my kanger evods and pro tank mini 2's.
My first setup (I don't count cigalike...) was a joye tech ego-t upgrade 1300mAh with pass through charging and some evods.
The mAh is a rating for batteries and suggests how long it will last between charged (higher number means lover battery life between charges). The pass through option was nice because you can still vape on it while it charges.
I then got a 900mAh vision spinner. I wanted variable voltage to play with different resistance heads. Most egos output at around 3.2v(I think). With that I preferred the 1.8 ohm coils in my evods.
You will learn a lot, and ECF is a good resource. Start out with the sticky threads on the new member forum, there is a lot of useful info there.
I think if I where to do it again I would start with the evod heads and one of these:
SLB eGo-V True VV Pass Through eGo 3.0-6.0v LCD Screen - BLACK [gv-SLBeGo-V-PassThrough-BLACK] - $29.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I recently got my first AVP, and love it. I wouldn't say its a good place to start though. IMO going with egos to start is a good way to keep the budget open to find what juices you like.

Bottom coil atomizers are a lot less temperamental in my experience. Refilling is easy, and I've never had a real problem with leaking. Changing the atomizer is also easy to do, and cheaper than replacing the whole tank every week or two. I've had a great experience with them, but a lot of people have had issues with them.

It is defiantly a journey, but I have been enjoying the trip!
I hope you find a setup that works well for you!

CE series clearos !. I hated the ones that had short wicks, what was that all about ?. Anyway, they're plastic. You might find, later on, that it may crack, cloud up, become etched or even melt. There are a few liquids available that can damage the plastic tank in the way i mentioned. Acidic juices do it. If i were you i'd get myself a clearo with a glass tank sooner rather than later. The one you have won't last forever, the coil will pack up. I used them for a few weeks, i actually still have one, a ce5 long wick, sitting in my box of stuff i don't use anymore. What's really popular at the moment is the Protank. Worth looking into. Not disposable, rebuildable for cleaning, easily replaceable coil, glass tank. Good solid tank.:)
