Hi all,

sorry to make this blunt but not great with the typing and spelling (dyslexic/reading blindness/etc)

so bad i cant even smell my own name.............. joke

well ive come across this and ive tried reading it but it confuses the hell out of me because i get lost in it all. thats the dyslexic in me.

but if there anybody IS out there that may take the time to read this and let me know if there talking straight or a load of B.S.

I have this feeling that it a very un fair way to try and put the use of e-cig/vapes across, but i could be wrong.
not sure it should been even aloud as to its a paper written for the subject of ecigs and the harm on us.
But i think the info that has been used is info from forums like ECF, which cant not be a good and reliable source to publish health info.
As much as i love the forum and e-cigs/vaping, can it be right to write papers from it.

Again i could have this all upside down.

Many thanks again if you can help and happy vaping anyway if you can't.

Hehehehe...

Welcome to ECF, Dex!

As soon as you get more posts, just run an advanced search for Prue Talbot--one of the most despised and ridiculed people here. :D

This "study" has been analyzed and discussed at length here...

I would post some link for you but you won't be able to open them yet.

Journal of Internet research my foot.

From the articles and research I've done, there isn't enough information on the affects of vaping yet...But, the way I look at, you aren't inhaling burning tobacco, which means no carcinogens. It has been said that nicotine is about as bad for you as a cup of coffee, its a stimulant, not a carcinogen. Any way you slice it vaping is not as bad for you as smoking cigarettes.

So Vape on! :vapor:

Actually, there's plenty of good research proving that vaping is pretty much harmless.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Nicotine IS a poison. However, that said, one would have to ingest far more of it to be made ill by it than we get in our juices and the amounts we use in our devices.

There's a reason it isn't recommended to play with pure nicotine unless one is experienced and knowledgeable about its handling. The average vaper, however, is more content to just buy from other vendors and not be handling the large quantities that could be damaging.

True for the most part, but shouldn't people with high blood pressure be cautious about nicotine?

Absolutely. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor. Just like caffeine.

And it is lethal in very high doses.

However, we are comparing vaping as a harm reduction alternative to smoking. We assume that people who pick up vaping are smokers to begin with, already using nicotine daily, and are looking for a healthier proposition. Besides, many vapers taper down to 0 nic with time or just reduce their nicotine level.

You know, I was wondering about caffeine too... Guess I better avoid that as well!

Coffee can be good for you--unless you have some underlying condition where caffeine is contraindicated. But even in that case, you can always have decaf.

Any substance we ingest, inhale or inject into our bodies can be good or bad for us, depending on dosage and our health status. And that includes nicotine, alcohol, coffee and some other substances that we are not allowed to discuss here. :)

Just google "health benefits of..." and insert the name of the substance you're interested in. Plenty of research and some amazing findings. Just look for science, not junk.

Just to note: capsaicin (the stuff that make food hot) was being considered for use in chemical weapons by the Indian government, since high a does can shut the human nervous system down. Nutmeg is also toxic. Artichokes are full of arsenic. I'm much less worried about nicotine, since it's found in night shades like tomatoes.

This is a little off topic, but my wife was admitted to the hospital for detox from overdoing it with caffeine. I try to stay away from energy drinks due to this. I'll stick with my PV and e-juice.

I weaned myself from caffeine many years ago by switching to Caffeine-Free Diet Coke and restricting my coffee intake to two cups in the morning.

I no longer have the crippling panic attacks that I went through with frightening regularity.

I'm hoping vaping works in a similar way to my tobacco habit. For the most part I'm vaping but I still have a cig or two daily.

I can't let go of that damned crutch yet.

I dont understand people. They go to limits to use drags which may give them suicidal ideas, terrible nightmares, to quit cigarettes questions about safety of the e-cigs.
People who spent $500.- for a session to quit cigarettes,
Spending more than $2.000/year to cigarettes, would complain about the expensive hobby for new devices (not the issue of this topic though)
Man, ingredients are used in cough syrups, asthma inhalers, food industry You dont complain about cakes contain PG? Look into your kitchen and bathroom before you have objections about PG/VG

Come to the point Nicotin. Yes it is harmfull one way or other it should be very good if we did not ask for But since we need them what is best for the supply? Cigarettes? (You can easily sugest us to eat potatoes, eggplants etc. they contain nicotin too)
Cigarettes have VG too for your information (to keep the tobacco damp)
Nicotine? Yes
PG? I dont know (I dont know but all these are approved by FDA for the best of my knowledge)
There are 597 more in a cigarette without burning effects
The crescendo is after you burn them 4000 materials about 250 fatal, 50 carcinogen.
Come my friends we are still 597 parts in the better side with e-cigs even if these 3 ingredients had been harmfull. and we dont burn them. Heat them only.
Every solution comes with new problems I agree. But my frends be fair we have been exposed those ingredients with various instances. If anyone is waiting testes on animals well I have been one (I use e-cigs 7 months yet) I know many people who have been using 2-3 years of them we hear only contented messages improved health reports from them.
I dont call them unharming mind you? But when you put it against cigarettes they are angels.
You prescribe people drugs to heal their head aches But you make their stomachs vulnarable. I dont think e-cigs should cause any side effects as much as a pain killer.
While people are dying to find a way to get rid off cigarettes, I did not intend to quit. I used them to diminish bad effects of cigarettes. I would not give up morning tea and cigarettes But what? I quit cigarettes without a second thought. I liked smoking, I loved smoking even the smell of ash tray. No sir. nothing stayed I detest the smell of smoke now.
King is dead you know long live king
Happy vaping to all vapers and wisdom to scepticals
