It's known by many names. Shinyitis. Gear Acquisition Syndrome or GAS. The "gotta-have-its." Okay I just made that last one up, but maybe it'll stick :). It's an affliction that I think, to some degree, has touched us all. If not personally, then someone we know. It's not just vapers, either. Hobbyists of any ilk can fall prey to its temptations. To help combat its effects, you can send me all your extra spending cash and any illicit gear you may have acquired since contracting the syndrome. I will make the sacrifice and ensure that it is properly removed from circulation, never to tempt another soul, by adding it to my personal rotation, and I promise not to tell your wife how much any of it cost. PM me for details :)

people are different and it can take time to find what works best for an individual. I collected many tanks, mods and flavorings and have settled on a few but am still looking to see if anything is better. that is a part of any hobby and this may have started as a way to quit smoking but it has grown into a lot more than that.enjoy the hobby and don't be so critical of yourself

Well-you've come to the right place :). Right, as in if you want to stay a vapeaholic lol.
It happens to a fair few of us, I fell victim to vapeaholism sometime last year.

That was in December. The condition is still ongoing, and there is more since then.
I am up to 19 regulated and 6 mechs now, tanks, and RDA's,well I guess too many lol. I know it is more than 28, as I have a stand that is full with others that won't fit.

But in all seriousness, it's good you have made a healthier choice, and I hope you successfully quit smoking(You most definitely will, I am sure of it), and learn lots of things along the way.

Hi, glad you joined us. And yeah, more than a few of us have started down that road. I don't think anybody has started a Vapaholics Anonymous program yet, but I'm not sure many people would attend, because you have to admit you have a problem first and I don't think most of us view it as a problem.:D

Wouldn't a Vapaholic's Anonymous mean you were giving up Vaping? COUNT me out! :vapor::vapor::vapor:

    Same here!

I did have a bad alcohol addiction, that I beat on my 24th birthday (Dry for 2 years on April the 23rd :) ), but I find that vaping actually keeps my mind occupied, along with my music, so I don't even think about alcohol now.
I don't do alcoholics anonymous-not my thing if I am honest, once I had got through the DT's and seizures in hospital, it actually isn't too hard not to drink.
I understand this varies from person to person though, so no disrespect to people who find AA does help them.

In a way, vaping keeps me away with all the mods I have to maintain, tanks and drippers to maintain, DIY juice, and just the enjoyment I get from it.

Unless I found out tomorrow that vaping was going to kill me in a few months, like alcohol was, (I know this chance is virtually nil), I am in no way giving up vaping-I love it too much!
