Greetings! New member (ish) here. My name is Kim and I used to vape a lot about 4 years ago. Back then, I had a Prodigy 2 which was state of the art for it's time. Then, someone decided they needed my car more than I did apparently and took it home with them, along with alllll of my vaping stuff. So, it was back to analog for me. I always wanted to get back to it, just never got around to doing so. There always seemed to be other things vying for my dollars, and buying cigarettes, although expensive, didn't require an outlay of cash all at once. I thought I could manage it last year, but alas, I couldn't quite do it. I did sign up to the forum then, I just couldn't scrape up the money.

But I'm finally here now....yay!!

Soooo much has changed since back in the day! Wow!! It's incredible really. Back then there wasn't so many choices. It's really impressive, how far this has all come along. My fiance (garlicfiend) and I did some research and finally decided on the Innokin MVP 2.0. We are self employed and don't have much time during the work day to vape. I smoked about a pack and a half of camel 99's, but I smoke fast and typically 'double hit' my cigarette b/c I don't have much time to get my nic fix. vaping for me needed to be easy (plug and go) and not messy. I really like the Innokin unit, we found it online for like $40. It's variable watt and although somewhat big, it fits the bill perfectly. The battery on it lasts for-EVAR! I think I've charged it twice in a week and a half!

Tanks however, have been the bane of my existence as of late. We looked at reviews for the Iclears (all the different models) and bought several of them. I'm not pleased. Gurgling, spitting and leaking. Blech! We have a bunch of Aspire Ce5s that we do like, I just tend to hit my vape a bit hard for them. So.....I finally gave in and bought a Nautilus today. So far, I'm impressed. I'm going to give it some time, but I feel hopeful that this one will work out. We are planning on buying several Nautilus mini's as well. If you have some you don't want....send 'em our way (seriously) LOL~!!

Juices have came a long way too! I am finding that the longer I vape, the more my palate changes. I don't seem to care much for the overly sweet juices, but prefer juices similar to 5 Pawns Queenside, which is currently my ADV. I have read the Suicide Bunny threads, and I'm sad to see what's going on there. I like her juices A LOT. Sucker Punch is my fiance's current ADV. Here's hoping she can get a handle on this and figure it all out. It would be a shame to see her leave the market place. Of course I seem to prefer the juices that are bad for you, go figure!! I currently have an order being shipped from Hurricane Vapor. Can't wait to try their specialty tobacco line. If anyone's interested, I'll let you know what I think about them.

Well, hell....that was a lot of words!! Thanks for having me, I look forward to getting to know you!

Did you get the new vertical coil (bvc) with the nautilus?
If not, look for them for replacement coil heads.

I didn't get the bvc, it came with the bdc instead plus one replacement. I'll go through those first and then I'll buy the bvc's because I've heard great things about them. Is that what you are using? I'm new enough to not know the difference between single and dual coil effects on vaping. I'll learn, but I feel like an idgit!!

Hi Kim and well done for giving it all a try again and getting off the cigarettes.

I have a couple of Nautilus mini's with the new coils and they are brilliant. They seem to last for weeks before needing to change and have so far, not had any leakages etc. I went through various other tanks and was like you, unhappy with their performance and most often they leaked. But the Nautilus is cool and love em. I also have a few of the Kangar mow which i bought just prior to the Nautilus. They are cheaper by half, but not quite as good in my opinion, but each to their own. You'll notice the difference when you eventually start using the newer BVC coils:laugh:
Hope your experience keeps you vaping happy!

I don't have any Aspire tanks; I have the simple run of the mill Kanger types.

There are two notable differences I see on the Aspire coils compared to the Kangers:
1: the Aspire coils have airholes at the sides of the coil, whereas the Kanger coils have the airhole vertically down through the center pin where it basically competes for space with electrical contact.
2: the bottom grommet used in the Aspire coils from what I've happened to notice in youtube reviews is much more durable and easy to remove and insert that the Kanger coil heads.

As for dual coils, you basically are vaping twice as much at once; double fog; double power required; double liquid vaporized.
