Well a short intro.. I've been smoking since I was 17 am currently 20 and was looking to quit for both financial and health reasons, have had a couple of unsucessful attempts (mostly because I enjoy smoking so much) and stumbled onto the concept of e cigarettes and then this forum today. Through the advice I found here on this forum I decided to try a 510 set from cignot because if it's really as great as it sounds this could be just the answer I'm looking for, and for less than the price of a carton of cigarettes I'm giving it a shot. Hoping for the best!!! I'm sure I'll have some newb questions once it arrives but I have done a fair amount of reading (spent hours on here and shopping around.)

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of their great collective information that they have posted up for everyone. Truly one of the better forums I have come across for any topic, if only based on the wealth of information on the subject!!:thumb:

Good job finding a good price on your first e cig. I say overall you got a good model and a good price. doesnt cignot charge like 38 bucks or something for a starter kit.

I own a 510 and it is my favorite model of the three i Have tried.

Good job finding the forum too I am really impressed, in one day you joined the forum, picked out a good e cig, and got a good price way to go

35 bucks from cignot
every time I have ordered I have had it in two days

very friendly and helpful

i know some people are discouraged when they see no box ..
but believe me the box they are talking about is just a simple plain white box
I ordered 2 from cignot and one from another place for 49 ... because i wanted to try different places

and they are the same even the same instruction book
only difference is a 5 cent box

Hello krk:

Welcome to ECF. For what it's worth (my opinion) you have made a good choice. The Dura-C, 510, Titan, Yeti, Versus with manual batteries are reccomended for a reason. That being, they are the middle PV (in terms of throat hit/vapor.) Meaning they are the top of the line for the tube types, and from there you go to one of the harder hitting (larger size) mods if you need more. Or, down to one of the smaller tube types, which sacrifice throat hit and vapor, have smaller carts...etc (meaning more work/task). There is the 801 which does have a bigger cart., but you sacrafice vapor and throat hit, as it has a lighter/air hit and vapor.

Most want to start with the tube type (shaped like the analoge.) Thus, if we reccomend the D,5,T,Y,V you get the best throat hit and vapor available in that type of tube shape. You can actually vape it as a 901 (less throat hit and vapor), if need be. It is just in the technique.

Anyhow, great researched/informed choice. It will give you the best feel as to what vaping is about. There is no substitute to experiencing it first hand. Let us know how you like it, and any questions you have.

Best of luck to you on your journey to better health/finances.:)

I have been wanting a 510 for a few weeks now and the one from cignot looks great. just wondering why they are so inexpensive?

Because the e-cig makers are smart marketers. They sell "kits" which make you think you're buying some elaborate quantity of items. An e-cig is only 3 small parts - a batter, an atomizer, and a cartridge. I got the 2 510's from cignot and when I got my package I thought there had to be a mistake. The box that had my 2 e-cigarettes was barely bigger than a cigarette lighter! It will have 3 cellophane packages - each battery in their own package and 2 atomizers in 1 package. At first I thought they forgot an atomizer - until I opened it and saw there were 2 in one package.

But yeah 2 lighters side by side is bigger than the box that holds 2 e-cigs :) Once you have charging mechanisms all you need for a "new e-cig" is just a battery and an atomizer which can be found for $7-$10 each.

This is very true, and it isn't talked about very much.
I can vary my vaping experience with the 510 by how I handle the button.

I can hold it for a long time and get it all hot and bothered.
Or I can hold if for a short time and continue to inhale for a milder experience.
Or I can hold it, let go, then press it again for extended play action.

Great point that needs more exposure.

My wife and I both have 510's and are waiting for a shipment of barely used parts that I got in the sell/trade forum here (great deal!). I love it and so does she, we really never intend to quit smoking all told but that may happen. I think we may smoke 2-3 analogs a day, if that...I find I gravitate more to the vape in just this short period of time!

Indeed! Hold it a short while and it can rival the 6 volt mods if done properly, it just takes a little longer on the inhale but not too long. I just ordered some more 510 kit, I practised with my old favourite, the 510 and found I don't really need 6 volts in the day so the GG can stay at home. I ordered the gold 510 from TW :D

If you liked the m801 your going to love the 510. To me the atomiser is much stronger and the good thing is modern Trance doesn't set it off :D The older trance sets me off but thats another story :) You made a great choice there!!

Your mom said not to say...
You can get the same thing from Innovapor.com for $32 shipped. Delivered fast and it's the same thing. The only difference between these kits from Cignot and Innovapor and the more expensive kits is the packaging and an extra atomizer. They are perfect for the person wanting to try it out before investing lots of money. As it was said, these are really only 3 things, battery, atomizer, and charger. People wanting a spare will just buy a extra battery and atomizer they have plenty of carts and a charger already.

Welcome to the forums!

I'm also new here and a proud new 510 owner (one week)!

the 510 is a great PV as far as I can tell.. When you get it, if you're anything like me, your immediate reaction will be "this isn't like a cigarette"

I had my doubts about it the first half-day, but stick with it! It only took me 24 hours to kick analogs and i smoked 20 a day for nearly 12 years. There is a tiny little bridge to get over because let's face it - there may be nicotine in them, but your body might notice the lack of the other 3999 chemicals it was used to regularly recieving, but i say good ridance to them :)
