Hello, new here and just wondering...

I made the decision to buy an ecig a few weeks back and have been reading a bit here since. Feel like I know you guys even though this is my first post in the Aussie forum. Anyway I reckon I got my decision right on what to buy even though I have not yet used or seen it, just based on further significant reading from when I purchased.

anyway;

I ordered a new 510 Riva and some 18mg e-liquid from Liberty Flights in the UK back on the 15th of April.

It has not turned up yet and I am now starting to wonder about it? Will I get notified if was siezed by customs? Why would it get siezed? Am I paniking too early. It has said since Wednesday the 20th of April that it has been passed onto an overseas mail service in AUSTRALIA. So I know easter was in their but thats 11 working days and 20 calander days. I assume overseas they did not have an anzac day holiday either...

Nothing has changed since then.

In future I will probably hit the Australian sites for all but the nic fluid but just thought I should get it all together as I did not want to get started anyway without nic fluid as I suspect it would only put me off.

Has anyone had a deliever siezed before, and how long does it take to get notified?

Hi tom32,
I have had a few parcels containing e-cigs and juice opened by Customs with a notice saying it was opened and nothing removed .

It seems like Queensland is beginning to have stuff confiscated which is not a good sign though. I think you would be notified if it did happen.

I have not bought from the UK before so don't know how long the shipping times etc would be.

I get all my nic from China and it takes 5 to 7 days using EMS.

I haven't had anything seized or opened. I have bought from a couple of usa based stores and from heavens gifts in china. I am having a little anxiety with my last order though which is from Madvapes in the states. I got a email notice stating it was shipped on the 14th of april and its still not here. I did take into account the easter break as well. I have never had a parcel take this long either. I am probably a little over anxious just for the fact that i'm starting to run low on liquid. All good, Hopefully today it will arrive or if not i'll keep chewing my fingernails. 8-o

I guess because I have not made a switch yet to ecigs I just carry on buying analogues for now.

Every time I buy another $15.00 packet though I think to myself, I wonder if this will be the last...

I am ringing my wife at 10:00AM every morning to ask if it has turned up with the mail and even check again in the afternoon because packages are sometimes delivered via a van in the early afternoon.

Suffice to say she is getting quite frustrated with me asking her to check twice a day. She is telling me I have been dudded and to get over it. I reckon she is wrong, at least I hope she is wrong.

I wrote to liberty flights customer service just to ask if they have ever had issues in Australia through customs and am awaiting a reply. I am sure they are used to nervous customers.

England had a May day holiday so same holidays as us.

Just got my E liquid today from UK and it took about 2 weeks, usually its about 5-6 days from the UK to Perth but the easter backlog will be huge!

I gave up Analogs 3 weeks ago when i got my first e cigarette and had my first analog today, not bad for a 50 a day smoker vaping with no nic juice!

I now have some 16mg nic juice and dont think i will need to smoke ever again as long as i can get the juice into OZ.

Another day down and it still hasn't arrived. But i'm being optimistic. Then I read on another thread about a $8000 fine for importing e-liquid with nicotine. I really hope my shipments get to me, then after that I think i'll wear patches for 3 months and vape nic free juice from here in australia just for the hand to mouth side of the withdrawals. lol. Plus I can get the patches cheap now on the pbs.

I have a question.

I have read on several threads that the e juice tastes disgusting if you get some through the cart before it has been vapourised.

Anyway most drags of the e cig I get a sweet taste on my lips which is actually quite nice? Is that e juice coming through as I drag on it or just vapour collecting on my lips?

Either way I have not had a smoke today, so it seems to be working it's magic.

Now all I have to do is work out how to do the signature thing with the money saved etc.

I would reckon its just a little residue from the vapor your getting. If you get the actual juice in your mouth, well for me anyway it burns a little. Plus tastes not good. I vape 32mg nic juice so that would be the culprit. As for the signature thing, If you want one like mine then click on my banner and it will take you through the steps. Or if you see other another one a different member has do the same. There is a few threads on here about sig banners so do a search in the search window up top. :vapor:

Ps: Once you have finished creating your banner, copy the link it provides you the come back to ecf and go to settings, then signature settings and your away. :2cool:

Thanks.

I think I need two more posts to be allowed a banner.

Now been going for 6 days on the e cig and basically only had a little incident on site where I burnt my filler all over the atomiser and smoked cigs for the rest of that day.

Otherwise it is all good.

One thing that is diffent is I am using all my lung capacity on these if that makes any sense to people? Rather than comfortably breathing in just a little drag to get bang out of the e cig I sit their dragging into the mouth fill it up and then forget to breathe out my nose before inhaling. I end up breathing in then breathing in again. Anyway, good lung exercise I suppose till I get used to it.

Already reckon these are going to work for me. No allergies at all. Withdrawal symptoms from ciggies the first night, could not get to sleep and the missus is not keen on me vaping in bed but otherwise I think I am free from conventional smokes at least 95% of the time. I imagine I am going to get caught out again at some point but if I have a packet a fortnight instead of nearly a packet a day that has got to be a win.

Don't get caught out! Make sure you always have plenty of supplies on hand and you'll be fine. You'll soon find out that real smokes taste horrible now and you won't even want one. In six weeks I've tried two and both were put out after a couple of puffs and I was reaching for the PV to get rid of the taste!

They didn't taste real flash but were still hitting the spot.

I am thinking of getting a handfull of disposables so I can keep them in the front of the car. My concern is the heat there would just ruin any juice inside them after a week or two.

I guess I just have to get more organised. It will be good in 10 years or whenever these things become accepted (I imagine only a matter of time) and you can get them from pharmacies or even better service stations etc.

Not saying I would buy from them all the time but at least you would not get caught out.

Anyway when I am in the office which is most days, I have no excuse, I have power, liquid in the draw, a spare atomiser so I am not going to get caught out most days. On the rare occasion I am in the field I will just have to be prepared as the scouts would say.
