Hello everyone, I just started vaping a couple weeks ago after a 25+year habit and am amazed at how effective it has been for me. I'm just using a cheap starter kit for now but it seems to be getting the job done since I've only had 2 cigs in the last 2-3 weeks. Still haven't found the right juice that I can vape all day and not get sick of but I'm sure I'll find it eventually, really thought menthol would do it for me since that's what I smoked, but the few menthols I tried were just horrible,

I hope to learn a lot here as my journey into vaping is just getting started :D

Hi Mike, welcome aboard!

Yes indeed, it's a great feeling to finally be off cigs. If you're like many of us, you've tried - and had no luck with! - the other ways to quit. Too bad vaping wasn't an option 50 years ago

Finding the right array of flavors is one of the trickier parts. As you've found, trying to get one that's "just like" your old smoke is (usually) not satisfying, if you can even get close. Don't limit yourself to that, but explore wildly different flavors as well. If there's a shop near you that has a "tasting bar", that's a good way to narrow the field - or expand it :)

I like to have several toppers filled and ready, with different flavors. Changing up during the day can be really pleasant. Never was a menthol smoker, but some of the mint flavors can be pretty nice.

Hey David, thanks for the tips. I haven't gone to any vape shops yet but I know there has to be some nice ones not too far away.

I already found some flavors that I never thought I would enjoy vaping like cherry tea and this other juice with a peanut butter flavor, Don't quite like them enough to vape on them all day but switching between those 2 get me through most of the day. I also have a whipped cream flavor juice that I'm really liking, very slight taste of whipped cream, great for an after meal dessert :)

You'll see, often, threads about the ADV, i.e. All Day Vape. While I certainly have my favorites, which I can vape all day, for me the ability to change flavors whenever I want is one of the (many!) good things about vaping.

And satisfying the "sweet tooth" with a good vape does save on the calories

to ecf mikek1. So glad you are here and congrats to the vaping. Isn't it wonderful? Here is a thread that you can find some good deals while you are trying to find what makes you taste buds dance. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals-214.html Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about your continued success.

What flavors and brands have you been vaping? When I started vaping I got some ok gear for too much money at a shop. The juice they recommended was complete crap I think it was Atmos. Check out mt baker vapor. Pretty good juice ....probably the best for the money. Only thing is since it is fresh made some flavors have to steep a while for best flavor.

Actually the ones I like so far are mainly from mbv. I really like their whipped cream and cherry tea. The whipped cream has a nice faint taste of real whipped cream, I'll probably try a extra flavor shot or two next time but so far this is my favorite. I didn't think I would like the cherry tea but it has grown on me and I've just been switching between those 2 and something called Zombie crunch from Zen, its like a peanut butter candy bar taste. I do have a couple of premium juices but I'm letting them steep. I have some juice from the Standard, Twisted Liquidz and a couple more. Not quite sure what makes them premium but since they cost more than $20 for 30ml I figured I'd let them steep and get the most flavor out of them

:D

Welcome aboard. That's the million dollar question. I've been vaping since last november and I have yet to find my all day vape. There are so many different flavors and variables (PG/VG mix, nic levels, cartos, etc.) it can take a while. I've learned that this is something that the only way to know is to try all the combinations. I'm finding that half the fun is the adventure in exploring the unknown.

If you like tea flavored juices, Alice in Vaporland's got a few, and they're delish! (they're portal's only open, one day a week to purchase tomorrow at noon to wed. at noonish depending on time zones)

I too was a 25plus year menthol smoker, and I had some tobacco/menthol juice that I'd have with my morning coffee (the hardest one for me to kick the craving for) and it tasted soooo nasty after the first few days (because lets face it tobacco's an aquired taste and it's nasty for the most part) But my tastes have evolved, I really love Queenside (Five Pawns) with my morning coffee, it's pricey a dollar a ml, so Im fixin' to fiddle around with some blood orange and cream DIY stuff probably after this bottle is empty. Not a big peanut butter fan so you're on your own there. :p

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to try out Five Pawns, I've seen them mentioned many times.

I don't mind spending money on a juice if its worth it. I just paid about $25 for a 30 ml bottle but I think alot of that is going to the thick glass bottle and glass dropper.
