All,

I do not have an urge for a cigarette except at work. It seems as soon as I get to work the e cig doesn't do it for me. I know it is a state of mind because I can be in a room with all smokers and the e cig satisfies me. Any ideas on how to stop this thought process. For one month now I only have 2 cigarettes daily Monday through Friday none on weekends or vacation days. This is driving me crazy.

Thanks,
Cyndi

thanks, for the replies. I will try upping the nicotine at work and maybe taking a different route so I do not pass anywhere to get cigs. I don't think it is stress I think because I still have to go outside with the smokers so this is the only place that I can't just take a hit when I need one I have to wait and go outside which is when the cravings hit. I may also try picturing myself with an e cig and smiling so that the craving will go away what is going to help is I have 5 days off.

What is your ecig? Maybe you need something stronger for when you are in a room full of smokers where you used to smoke. Same way some people need stronger flavor or stronger nic or stronger ecig when in a bar drinking and vaping where they used to smoke lot.

If you are only allowed to smoke on breaks, you could try higher nic so the urge is quelled for longer.

My boss smokes at work. I used to go to the warehouse and smoke too. When I got the ecig I initially would go to the warehouse and vape. His smoking didn't bother me much - he sucks down a marlboro in about 20 seconds then is done. then somebody told me I could vape at my desk and I vape all day with 2-3 ecigs laying on my desk right near my mouse.

I do recommend you consider if your hardware is strong enough. I also recommend you analyze how you feel after different flavors. Some new vapers cannot vape food flavors alone without getting an analog craving as if they had eaten. Some are the opposite and cannot vape tobacco flavors or are reminded too much of cigs and want one. And some can vape any flavor right from the start. Figure out which you are.

Ouch! I'd have problems too if I couldn't vape in place. Think you could stealth vape? I flew cross country with a 3.7 volt box mod and a carto in my seat. No one knew.

Just vape till you vape too much so you kinda hit that sweet spot then tell yourself this is what I love about vaping and what I couldn't get from analog since my first one. Gotta admit I don't miss chasing that feeling since I get it almost every time I vape.

Just don't go too far and get sick or get a headaches happened a lot when I first started vaping. Did not know when to stop.

Try to blow clouds of vapor that helps me too I blow more clouds then analogs lol.
