Hello to all and Help!

I was an avid smoker and have decided to give vaping a try to replace my smokes. I would like a moderately priced vaping unit, a good pen would be great. Mainly i need help with juice selection. My brand of choice, and still my favorite was Max Menthol, by Kent. Very strong and i loved them. When they were taken off the market i switched to Virgina Slims Menthol, full flavor. I know i cannot replicate the taste, but would like to get as close as i can, at least to start. On one of your threads. Librarob1987 commented that he smoked the same and switched to V4I(or l) flavor and it was very close. I searched and cannot find reference to this juice. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi and welcome!I can help a little for hardware, but as I was never a menthol smoker, I haven't any idea what's good on the market. No doubt someone will be along soon who can. As for a starter setup as a new vaper, I would look at the Joytech AIO (all in one). It's not expensive and is an easy entry into vaping. If vaping is something you take to, purchasing something more robust with a greater set of features is likely, but this is a quick way to get your feet wet.

I'm sure others will weigh in as well.

Welcome Max!! Glad to see another take a better path.

As to the flavor, their are just sooo many out there and only your taste buds count as to whether it is enjoyable or not. For me, and many others, we switched and realized that our taste buds were rather damaged by smoking. But, they re-grow, it just takes a few months. My sense of taste and smell is so much stronger and that gives a lot.

Anyway, it is a great road. I started at a high nic content and just slowly lowered it as I bought new bottles of juice. Just for the enjoyment and experimenting, I make my own juices now. Vaping is so much better, but it is a pretty big world compared to smoking. To many it becomes a hobby.

I was a menthol smoker. Mostly Marlboro Menthol Lites.

My first vaping flavor was Volt's Ice Menthol, which came extremely close to the Marlboro Menthol flavor.

Another good menthol flavor is NicQuid's Smooththal.

This ^^^^^ is important. Remember that you sense of taste and more important, your sense of smell, will change over the next couple of months. What you like today will change.
