Hello to all. I have been registered for a while now and am just now getting around to my posting and introductions. I started vaping back in June. I was given a vape pen for my birthday and haven't stopped smoking completely just yet but I'm down to maybe 3 cigs a day and pretty soon I expect to be completely off the horrible things. I can breathe better I have more energy and most of all my wife has stopped nagging me so much about quitting. Recently I have started looking into mech mods and want to play around with the diy aspects a bit. Any insights into that would appreciated. :vapor:

Welcome!

I was an avid Marlboro smoker for over 25 years. I smoked over a pack a day and loved my smokes. I wasn't even wanting to quit. I just noticed a friend vaping and decided to just buy one and try it. I loved it. I quit smoking completely immediately. The key is finding the right gear that works for you, the right nocotine content, and a tasty juice. With the right combination it's way better than smoking.

Good Luck

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

There are many ways to get into DIYing your vape experience.

With a mech mod the only way to "fine tune" your vape is to change your coil or build a new coil. With a high vv/vw regulated mod (and its buck/boost circuitry) you can "fine tune" with a push of a button. On a mechanical mod your voltage drops as you vape, with a regulated mod this does not happen. Your first hit is just as good as your last hit.

Just something for you to consider as you browse around.
