Hello all call my self sinister or prefer sin for short First post but been lurking the forums a couple times to get some info on vaping. I have been a smoker for about 26 years and I just need to stop tryed most of the stop smoking items with no success. Will be making my first purchase for e-cigs soon been looking at the EGO as I feel thats a good start from reading here on the forums just need to determine the best/reputable supplier to buy from. . Any ways just wanted to make my first post and thank the e-cig forum for providing a great place to get some info.

alot of sales going on at the moment for the eGo or Riva. They would be great to start with because of the long battery life as opposed to a regular pen style or mini cig.

Quick question was just reading about knock off for theses models how do you know and is the Riva a UK version and if not is one better than the other ) I can only post in the newbie forum so maybe I should read further but thank you both for the welcome

Welcome to ECF and congratulations on making an informed decision. The Joye eGo is a very good e-cig and has helped many of us get off analogs. Be sure to order some juice samples from a few vendors in small bottles so you can find what you like. Happy vaping!!!!!!!!!!

I have both Riva and eGo batteries. The Riva is not a UK version. Both types are manufactured in China. The Riva has a gold band with a rubberized button that lights up blue when activated. The eGo has a silver band and a clear plastic button the lights up white when activated. Both are excellent! The Riva is cheaper, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. My first kit was a Riva and I'm still using it to this day.

I'm using an Ego for some time now, and it's very good. No problems with any component. Battery life is about 1 day. Mine is a Joye.

The Joye eGo is the main one and as long as it says Joye, you should be okay if you are using a supplier from this forum. However many people like the Riva, the Tornado and the Inferno just as well as the Joye eGo. They all use the same atomizers, cartridges and cartomizers (510). I think you will be happy with whatever you choose.

Whether you decide to throw down the money on an eGo, or go with the less expensive Riva, you'll be happy! The standard Riva has just slightly more mah (750) compared to the eGo at 650mah. Honestly, that's only the difference of approximately an hour or so. I use my Riva batts between 6 and 8 hours a day before I charge them and they still aren't completely drained. I won't even go into how long my eGo batt will last because it's a 900mah and that wouldn't be a fair comparison.

The riva isn't a UK version it's a different manufacturer..like the Tornado is diff. from a Joye Ego.

or Litcigusa..... i think the riva with the 900 mah batteries is your best bet....the button is rubbery instead of hard plastic, their both the same basically.
Just stay away from the SLM or Bauway kits....Riva or Ego...900 mah batteries (mega XL) and your cool!!!
2. Get a drip tip.....go on youtube to learn whatever else u need ....when reading won't quite do it..that's how i learned!

Ok update just made my purchases and decided to get the Riva could not turn down the 20% off at Liberty flights bought sunday night and it has shipped today.
