Hi. My name is Will and i have been vaping regulated mods for about 4 years. i recently decided to jump into mechanical mods and have one coming in June, (lost vape Furyan). What I will be looking for in the thread for now is a way to test my voltage drop and understanding what it means. I appreciate any advise I can get on this matter and will search the forums for the topic. Hello again. Happy to be here.

Hey, Will. Welcome to the forum.

You're going to need a digital multimeter to test for voltage drop. Don't forget to zero out the meter before starting. The following tutorial should be helpful.

A Beginner's Guide to Your First Mechanical Mod
  • Covers the differences between a mechanical vs. regulated mod, essential safety accessories, optional safety accessories to add layers of safety to your mech, routine maintanance, use of proper batteries, proper ventilation, low resistance vaping, and faux hybrid mods.

Welcome to ECF, and congrats on switching to vaping. I'm glad you are asking safety question prior to vaping a mech, and there is a great deal to learn. You may want to check out some other threads in the Mech mod forum as well, there is a ton of useful information there, I have followed the Mech forum for a while as I own a couple, and reading threads, well, I think I'm pretty set. There was one FANTASTIC post on ohm's law that I saved, because that was the post that finally made sense to me.

Welcome to ECF, I'm sure you'll gain the knowledge needed to vape a mech safely, and just keep asking questions until you feel you understand all the variables.

Welcome :)

Anna
