Welcome ClassyVapper!! I started with the same set up. I still use the same set up while I'm at work. I bought a couple of other PV's for use at home and backups so now I'm all set up. No reason ever to go back to analogs. Cheers!! 
5 months. OK, technically I have been using the mini vivi nova all along - so I can't help but recommend it.
Also have used the Evod which was great while it lasted, but isn't as durable as the mini.

It's never leaked on me. Actually, I've heard the opposite. So who knows?
Gather as much info as you can and make an informed decision, then hope you don't get a dud
