Standard story, been lurking for a couple of weeks and figured why not actually make an account.

Very new to vaping. Bought my first setup I think July 19 at the urging of my husband. He'd been vaping full time for about a month and really wanted me to give it a try. I caved and let him help me pick out some stuff, but I was pretty non committal; I picked very neutral stuff because I didn't think I'd like it and figured it would all just be backup gear for him. I'd tried the e-cig thing back when the Blu's first came out and wasn't impressed.

Ran out of cigarettes on July 25 and figured I'd give vaping a good, honest effort. Haven't looked back yet. I'm amazed; I've tried to quit cigarettes many times in the past, and never could make it past a couple of days before I'd be back at them.

Anyway, I've got a pretty basic setup so far; using a Vision Spinner 2 and a Mini Protank 3. Think I've got a bad coil in there right now though....need to pick up some more while I'm running my errands today.

So, hello! Looks like a friendly, helpful bunch here. Think I'll enjoy my stay.

I'd agree, for me e-cigs have been amazing; not just a much easier way to cut down/quit, but also a much more enjoyable and flavorful one!

Indeed! I've had a lot of fun trying out flavors. Started out just with what the hubby already had on hand. We went shopping for more flavors and at first I was sticking with things that we both seemed to like, but I quickly became confident enough to purchase a few that I liked and he didn't. Already thinking about starting to make my own in the next few months.

Welcome to the forum and kudos to your husband for getting you started and kudos to you for doing it! Vaping is a very pleasant and fun journey, and it will take no time, you'll not even think about cigarettes anymore.

I was skeptical about vaping to quit smoking at first, too. My husband talked me into giving it a try earlier this year, and I've been smoke free since March. This made it SO much easier. Keep it up! Good luck!

to ecf Novena. So glad you are giving vaping a try. I still find it amazing how something so simple helped me kick a 40 some year habit. I never thought it was possible but I think I love vaping more than I use to cigarettes. Continued success to you and your hubby. Good luck to you and happy vaping to you both.

Glad you had your hubby to help nudge you along You'll find the flavor selection of vaping to be much more entertaining than plain ol' smoking.

Thanks for all of the welcomes, everyone! I've really been enjoying this community so far. So much information to try and absorb!

Now if I could just restrain myself from wanting to buy about 50 different juices...trying to have a couple of weeks of actually saving money LOL.

Welcome to ECF and congrats on quitting. DIY is a good way of saving money if you don't go crazy trying to get all your flavors at once. Check out the DIY section under General Eliquid Discussion.
