Hi all. Just joined, but been lurking for a week or 2. I expect to be more of a reader than a poster, but thanks for letting me say hi!

I am going to need the persons name who gave you permission to say "Hi" , that is never allowed , you must join in and act like you have been here for years even if you haven't.

Hi and welcome. And don't let @herb worry you. We try to keep him penned up over in the DIY forum-- he's a chemist and quite useful there-- but sometimes he escapes. :)

I am ? I mean of course i am thank you for the introduction suprtrkr , lets be honest though , i am an atrocious chemist and have no business working in that field , i am also very rarely if ever useful .

Thanks for your comments as always

Neither one. The fire button on many tube mods is on the bottom and you have to get a finger on it. Sometimes I grip lower down still and push the button with the first knuckle of my ring finger. The grip in the photo is positioned to use the tip of the pinky.
@suprtrkr regarding your profile pic - I see a lot of people do that type of grip on cylindrical mods - is that just a preference thing or a battery safety thing?

Well , the last two people that sampled my DIY used the words (and i quote) " horrific " and "grotesque " those two descriptions do not make me feel like i am at the pinnacle of chemistry .

Need much improvement

Just my opinion
they're just jealous they can't do as well, I'm sure :) me, I DIY, but I prefer simple flavors. It took me over a year to use more than one flavor at a time (not counting sweetener) although I did eventually gather the courage to formulate a moderately decent apple-cinnamon. When I read over in DIY--scary place, I don't go often-- about people endlessly searching to perfect their double-chocolate-cheesecake-peppermint-chicken and waffles with maple syrup-cola-NET-cereal flavor, I do think some trial and error is likely involved :)

Oh i know about trial and error , 99% error for me . The best mixers spend ridiculous amounts of time tweaking and trying everything and anything.
