These are my main online stores (USA based):
Electric Tobbaconist
Element Vape
My Freedom Smoke
Eciggity

The Zenith tank/kit is what I would recommend. Easy to replace coils and very easy to refill juice. Check out the thread here on the Zenith MTL tank. Having vaped for over 10+ years I have used may devices and the Zenith is by far the best for a newbie. MyFreedomSmokes has a good deal on the tanks and replacement coils. (coils last about a week) Element Vape has the Zenith/Kromma kit so you can get the kit and some ejuice at one place. Just make sure to get extra coils.

Go with Nic-salts ejuice. Stick around 30mg. The nic-salt will give you the nic hit you are looking for compared to regular juice.

Good Luck

I would just add maybe trying less expensive options than the Juul to start. The Juul is kind of the nuclear option for quitting smoking when it comes to nic levels and ease of use and whatnot, and to be honest, some folks become very "partial" to their liquids, and it's probably only a smidge less expensive than smoking.

I don't know what is in those liquids besides an ungodly amount of nicotine, but something.

Save the Juul for if all else fails (just my opinion as always.)

I have a couple of Zeniths and I love them.

I was a super heavy smoker. One of the biggest irritants to me when I first started (with much older equipment) was that the batteries were built in and when they ran out and needed to be charged I freaked out. I wanted it to be easy and having to recharge did not work out too well for me. I did it and stuck it out but ended up having a bunch of setups until I finally moved on to mods with removable batteries. Having something that dies on you because it is not charged makes it all too easy as an excuse to just go pack a cigs. (for me --anyhow)

I'd recommend going with one of the other iSticks that has a changeable battery. This way there is no downtime and less temptation to reach for a cig.

Something like this
Eleaf iStick Pico 75W TC Kit with MELO III/MELO III mini Atomizer

The box is nice looking and it takes a 18650 battery so you buy 3 batteries, a little plastic case and a charger. When the battery dies all you do is take off the door (easy peasy) remove the battery and put in the fresh one. At night, or whenever you want you put the dead batteries on the charger but since you have 3 you will never worry about not having a charged device. No downtime because you have 2 spares.

The tank is a Melo III and it is top fill and holds 4ml which is a decent amount. Not the mini which is only 2ml. You do not have to remove the tank from the device to fill it so that is super easy too. You would only have to remove the tank to change the coil. And it takes a variety of coils so as he becomes more familiar he can even try different ones.

The wattage goes from very low to quite high and it even does temperature mode --which you can experiment with later on --so it can grow with you too.

I think it is a good choice for a heavy smoker looking to switch.

Am glad the others found you. I still think to add...spares. coils, even the battery/topper combo. I used to keep spares in my car since I was pretty much always near that. But you and your hubby may be going in different directions during the day. Just a thought.

When I switched, my tastebuds were damaged from smoking. Oh. I could taste something, but whatever it was, it did not taste the same 6 months later. I ended up doing peppermint and spearmint so I wasn't tasting a "Brown blob" that the seller said was authentic Apple Strudel a la Parree.

First, your sense of smell will return. Not only enjoyably. Your car, closet, furniture, all may need cleaning. Even the dog.

Taste is slow. Oh, I tasted stuff, just not very genuinely. If it is vapeable, vape it. If you think there is a flavor problem, don't suspect the tank or coil...it will most likely be your tastebuds.

Your vape doesn't need to go into your throat. Actually, the nicotine is primarily absorbed in the mouth and in the nose as you exhale there. All those hairs collect particles on them and the you inhale them again or they get in trough the hair pores in your nose.

If you are going to charge via the mini USB port, what are you going to use while it is charging? Some change out batteries and get a separate battery charger. Some get a spare set-up.

Don't forget a car charger.

Good luck!

I tried to edit it and a no go :( Now I'm worried.
Welcome Bri.
If you don't like the scion keep them for backups or sell. If you don't mind bottom fill the Aspire nautilus 5ml will last all day without needing a refil, maybe even two two days depending on usage.

Nothing to be really "worried" about...

The MVP4 is a GREAT Mod...and you can put any Tank on it...(like the made-for-MTL Zenith Vapecrawler )…

While the Scion Sub-Ohm Tank is made for DL...even if you toss it out the window...it only added less than $15 to the price of the Kit...about the cost of 2 packs of cigarettes...that you and your husband will soon NOT be throwing out as ashes in your ashtrays every day or two...
