Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd understood that a "hot spot" was a wrap or two on the coil where it gets hotter than the rest of it, causing an inconsistent heating of the coil. That overheating could burn the juice hitting the coil at that point. Yes?Think this is what they called hot spot / dry hit. Meaning your liquid have not reach the wick / mesh / coil. Hence the burnt taste. Try cleaning it or dry burn the coil. Cleaning the coil frequently can preserve the taste of your liquid

Those need to be kept fairly full of juice ...never below half..
It still tasted burnt even on the lowest voltage. I upgraded to a pro tank mini today so I'm just going to try to mess with the t3s and see if I can get it working right for a back up.
