Help/Advice for a newbie!

Hi, I just received my 510 over the weekend and have been having some troubles. It doesn't give the vapor I see the videos of it producing. I get a small throat hit and don't feel it in my lungs at all. This is more noticeable when i'm using VG based juice. I'm using pyramid tea bags and the menthol non VG stuff works the best. Is there a mod to fix this? I'd love to quit analogs and have cut down drastically since the change but thats been more willpower than PV. With some good vaping I think the PV would help.

Some information on my usage if it will help. I use 2 batteries with one atomizer, though after reading some posts I may keep both atomizers in use. One lasts about 5 hours before I need to switch out the batteries. I tend to puff on it a lot when I'm just sitting around but use it more like a cigarette (5 min puff breaks per hour or two) when I'm working for the day. The vapor gets noticeably weak right before the battery dies but I get that same weakness randomly while vaping the menthol non VG, and get it always while vaping the VG stuff.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond. I've become overwhelmed reading all the information here on the forum and needed to just ask.

P.S. I wouldn't have even made it to the attempting to switch stage without all the success stories here on the forum. Thanks so much you've given me hope.

What has worked best for me with my 510 is the Blue Foam Mod with the Marinetime Rite Size U Foam. Look up on youtube for videos of that and it will greatly increase the vapor production, taste, and overall experience. I have been using that in comparison to the poly-fil and won't go back. Good luck in getting it to work properly.

VG reduces TH and can mask taste but usually gives more vapor.

PG increases TH and usually gives less vapor.

Electrically, vapor is a product of power and the atty is a fixed resistance, so, yeah, as the battery voltage drops the vapor production drops.

Try mixing your VG & PG juices in your cart before putting the fill back in and see if you can find a happy medium that gives you what you want out of your vape. Start out with 9 drops of PG and 1 drop of VG. If that's not good for you try 8-2 and keep adjusting until it feels right for you. What's the worst that could happen?

Hoosier's advice on the battery is right on. If you're getting 5 hours from a regular 510 battery that may be a record ;-) IOW, you're not vaping as much as some of us. But you will not only get more vapor with a newly recharged battery, but you'll get longer battery life by recharging more frequently. If you see the battery on the charger is green, switch it out with the one you're using.

Also the idea of mixing VG with PG is good. I find that if there's a PG only ejuice that I like that adding (VG based) Ecopure's 'Rich' flavor is good for adding to tobacco and stronger flavors and Ecopure's "Fresh" flavor is good for other flavors - berries, fruits, etc. Sometimes I just put one or two drops on a top off.

A good cart mod helps with getting the juice to the atty too.

I use this with the blue foam plug - which just has about 1/8 of an inch of foam on the top of the cart and the rest of the cart well is holding only ejuice.
