So I have had a fund for my new vape for quite a while now, and the day has come where I can spend it! The problem is I don't know what I want exactly.. I was really leaning to a provari mini, but then from the distance, I saw the beauty of a mechanical mod with an rba. I'd be spending pretty much the same on the provari and the mechanical. Price isn't really a problem for me. I do have an eGo Twist as a daily driver so I really don't know if I NEED the provari right now. Can someone help me spend my cash and not regret it?

Provari (I can't believe I am saying this).

If you don't have a VV battery with all of the bells and whistles -- get one before you get a mechanical and start building coils.

That way you can easily check resistance of those coils and check for shorts.

Provari is American Made, comes with a long warranty and will last. It's a great investment if you can afford it. This will give you the opportunity to buy good batteries and a charger, and get to know big battery safety before you get the mechanical or hybrid.

Once you have the time to get used to these things, there are always mechanicals available later.

Be safe, have fun, and trust in your decision.

You have quite the tough decision to make.

Initially, I opted for 2 ProVari Mini 2.5s and then started on to the high end mechs like Chi You, ELA, PAPS, Nemesis, etc.

Regardless, of which direction you choose, you will be well served. More importantly, get yourself a high quality delivery device, eventually. That is where the true vaping experience begins.

Hi

What you need is to quit smoking. What you need is a device that helps you achieve that goal. Beyond that, it becomes what you want, which is a whole different puppy. I have lots of toys. I love my toys. I love playing with my toys, but do I need all of them? No. I quit smoking using a plain 650mAh Joyetech eGo and if that was all I had now, I wouldn't start smoking again.

If you aren't happy with what you have, first look at the delivery systems and juice you are using. They have much more of an impact on your vaping experience than the power source.

If you are happy with your set-up, and have the budget for it, get any toy that appeals to you. They all have their fans, but you have to pick the one you think will be fun.

Mechanicals are a big step and although there's a lot of hype about them, and I do own a couple, I prefer the consistency that a regulated device gives me. I have the mini and I bring a couple tanks and a single backup battery with me and I'm set for the day. With a mechanical, there will always be a "sweet spot" and after the battery falls below a certain voltage, you'll want to change it long before you would need to in a regulated device to keep vapor/flavour up.

I say go for the VV/VW mod first. Get some decent batteries and a decent charger. Start tinkering around with RBAs now. Once you get good with those, then get a mechanical and tinker.

I don't think Provaris are worth the cost, but they definitely have their fans on here. Everyone loves the Vamo. It's a decent mod, but I like the Sigelei Zmax better. The VV/VW mods are more forgiving with RBAs since they have added protection, along with an ohm meter.
