I have looked and looked for a solution for my problem. But I cant even find anyone with the same problem! So here it is. I own 4 different auto batteries including one i got only a week or so ago. They have ALL been culprits of this at one point or another. I start taking a draw from it, i hear the crackling or the cart and feel the vape and nicotine hit. Mid-draw the cart will stop crackling and i will just get air, even though the light is still on. If i continue the draw the light shuts off and immediately turns back on. And the vapor and throat hit continues. Then does the same thing, the cut off never activates, its like the battery almost resets itself as i take a hit. Does that make sense? Like i said, ALL of my batteries have done this before at some point or another. Im just curious if anyone has had the same thing happen to their autos. And if they have a solution.

I have tried cleaning them, raising the center post on both the carts and the batteries, sometimes it fixes it, sometimes it does not. Thanks peeps!

Morandir : Its not the cut off or a dead battery. The light doesnt continuously blink as it would if it was a cut off or a dead battery. While taking a draw, the cart crackles, i feel the hit, and the light stays on. Then mid hit, the light is still on, but the crackling stops and all im drawing is air. Then while continuing the SAME hit, the light turns off and back on again and the vapor and crackling continues. Weird right?

Snowdragon: I am using 2 standard XL vapor king batteries, and 2 normal sized standard vapor king batteries. Not stealth, or diamond series.

Thanks!

Only time I've had that happen sir is on a batt that was ran to the blink.... Very weird. Next question, how are you filling? Any over fill/leaking issues?

Jackbozo sir join date means little to most here. Whether you've been vaping for years or just started an hour ago we all can learn something new.

Oh for sure. lol. I just wanted yall to know so you can use all the vaping lingo without being worried about confusing me. lol.

Anyways! lol, yeah so i used the drip method. But im always careful to not get any in the center of the cart. And i always blow out the cart and wipe down the connector before attaching it to the battery. Im very good about not overfilling.

Ahhhhh! That could be the issue. Another question. I watched all of "how to clean" videos on youtube in hope that i would find somthing about this issue. Do you have any more, In depth cleaning suggestions? like maybe somthing along the lines of even taking the battery somewhat apart to clean the juice out of the batteries? or just a better way of getting juice out of the battery?

Well....I take it you have seen my video on cleaning as well. The problem with taking them apart is that the wire leads into the connector are very fragile....that being said it is possible...do you have a soldering kit?

Outside of that you can twist up a little mouse tail with some tissue and feed it into the hole of the center post, twisting as your feeding. It should go in about 3/4 of an inch and it will remove some gunk on the connector wires. The problem is it doesn't get far enough down to absorb any juice around the switch.

You could try leaving the tissue in the hole, tape it down, and then giving the battery a few taryn spins......

I know you said one of the batteries was recently purchased, do you know about how old the other batteries are and if you bought them when they were on clearance?

I do have a soldering kit, i just dont want to risk destroying my battery unless i have something to refer to while doing an in depth clean such as taking it apart. I will try the paper towel thing for sure. The regular sized standard batteries i got with a starter kit in november of 2010. So they are pretty old. The 2 xl's i have, one of them i bought about 5 mos ago maybe? And the new one i received as an early xmas gift from the gf. Neither of them were bought on clearance. Nor was the starter kit. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hello everyone...this is Jackobozo's lady speaking :)

I did get him three of the four batteries....the first three were in a starter kit, purchased about a year ago...early December 2010. They are auto regular batteries. The XL is just a standard auto Vapor King XL, not on clearance, purchased literally last week. I've had some issues with my own batteries, as well...so frustrating!

SnowDragon, I just wanted to extend my thanks for your videos....we both gained a lot of knowledge from them! I love how straightforward they were, very simple to follow!!

:headbang: Thank you so much, you made my day with your kind words. :thumb:

The only reason I asked if they might be clearance batteries (I've bought many) is due to the fact that they had much shorter cut-off times, some I believe were as little as 4-7 seconds.

Sounds like it is probably a combination of things affecting the 3 older batteries and the newer battery. The 3 that are a year old might simply be coming to the end of their life cycles and have a little juice in them. If they come off the chargers as charged in less than 90 minutes, that is generally a sign. After a years worth of use having some residual juice in them is unavoidable no matter how careful the end user is.

I realized that if i raise both the battery and cart center posts and dont screw the battery on tight at all. it works with no problems. any advice?

Does this work for all 4 batteries? And have you been using the same battery charger for all 4?

Sorry...for popping in and popping out....watching the Niner game...(commericial break) anyways if this works on all 4 batteries then I have something for you to try. If you look at the ash cap, there is a small slotted notch on it, take a needle and pop off the caps. Check and see if there is anything (dirt, gunk, etc.) blocking the slotted notches, if they are clear pop the caps back on.

Outside of that the only thing I can think of is there maybe an issue with the charger. I say that because something is pushing those posts down, especially if you are doing what you say you are doing.
