Hi all!
While I know that there are many here that despise the Blu, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion, my current budget doesn't allow for me to start over with a 510 or other such brand at this time, so I have to try to make due with what I have.
Ok, with that out of the way...
I've had my Blu for about 3 years. It's worked fairly well in all that time, better even, since the new cartomizers came out. Recently, though, I decided it was time to order a new battery to replace one of my old ones. The old ones were all chipped up and with the ends falling off from getting dropped and one had just died, which after 3 years I figured wasn't unexpected.
So my new one comes. For three weeks it ran like a top, better, it seemed, than the original it was replacing ever had. I put in an order for another. Now things start to suck.
My new battery started to malfunction right out of the blue (NPI). Not only would it not activate properly when I hit it, but it was doing this wierd thing where it would light up for like 10 seconds, then blink a bunch of times, then repeat the process over and over. I called customer service, who were kind enough to give me a 10 dollar credit AND would replace the battery if I sent it back to them. That day, my other new battery arrived, so at least I would have one while I sent this one back. This was three days ago. Today, I sent the defective battery back at the post office, secure in the idea that in a matter of a few days I would have 2 fresh new batteries.
Well. Tonight I charged the new battery I JUST GOT. When I opened the pack to use it, I saw to my horror that it was doing the same damn thing that the other one had. The same 10 second flare followed by rapid blinking over and over. I imagine this will continue until it runs out of power. Customer service said to send it back, which I will do, but jeez, this is getting frustrating.
Has anyone else had this problem with their Blu? The only thing I can think of having done different is that I was charging the battery while the charge pack was still plugged in when I discovered the problem. It didn't say anything about this being a problem in the instructions, nor did the rep indicate that this would harm it. He was more interested in the fact that it takes 16 hours worth of charging on my charge pack till the plug light goes out (it's supposed to only take 4).
I've been pleased with my Blu up to this point, but this is starting to kind of suck.
