I've read around here on the forum but I'm still a little confused. Made a quick upgrade from the BLOOG to the EVOD and am extremely happy with the evod.

I need another tank(pyrex) or possibly a 5 pack which I've seen; some drip tips and maybe some coils.

1. On the coils, are they same coils for both the regular and mini.

2. On the tanks. If the description says compatible with evod, does that mean any evod. I assume this is the case.

What I'm looking at for the tanks is here: Mini Kanger Protank 2 Mini Pro Tank Glassomizer

Any other suggestions?

The kanger coils that fit the Protank also fit the Mini protank and the EVOD tanks. I think 101vapes has the best price on Protanks and coils right now. I just got a Mini for 10.49 (they went up this week to $11, I think). 101vapes also has wicked fast and cheap shipping, like $1.99!

EVOD is just what Kanger calls their type of ego battery. They have the same threading, just a different button. I love my EVOD batteries that came with my starter kit!

the mini pt 2 will work... your evod vv should have ego 510 threading... you could even get a pt2 it is bigger but comes with a beauty ring (pro tank skirt) and it goes on different like that, and looks & feels top heavy, but has higher liquid capacity...

Thanks. Is it fair to say that any tank with 510 threading will work unless it says it won't? Or does it have to say works with evod.

Another question. When I was at the shop buying the evod I switched out to the tank with pyrex. It feels like plastic when I tap it. Is that just how it feels or did we maybe mix up the tank tubes?

Also, wheres a good place to pick up drip caps.

Kanger has reduced the replacement coil confusion a little. The same replacement coil is used in the PT, PT2, PT mini's or EVOD.

However the Kanger T3s and Mt3s are different, have a slightly different base, and use a different coil accordingly.

correction, you can get a special base for the t3s and the mt3s to accept the aforementioned coils...

@planes... if it has 510 threading it will thread internally, if it has eGo 510 it will thread both ways...

the protank has just 510, but the skirt has ego...

Anything labeled 510 or Ego will work with the EVOD battery. In my experience anything marked 1.8 to 2.5 Ohms works well on an EVOD battery, depending on if you want a warmer vape (1.8 Ohm coil) or a cooler vape(2.5 Ohm coil). The EVOD tanks only have Ego threading so they will only work on a 510 threaded only device with an adaptor.

I'm not sure about your tank's pyrex. Did you buy a Kanger Unitank? I believe those are styled like the protank but made of plastic. My Mini Protank 2 definitely feels like glass to me.

Drip tips can be had anywhere! Discount Vapers has a pretty good selection and a great reputation.

Thanks for that. now I can buy without confusion.

I think they gave me the plastic tube by accident. I'm going back there on Friday to buy for a friend and will bring it with me as I definitely got the kanger mini pro and paid an extra 5 or 10 for it. My set up was $45 which seemed pretty fair.

Bear in mind that clone coils exist and they're everywhere. So far, all the coils themselves are identical, I haven't had compatibility issues, but the top posts are a different story. When changing a coil, swap out the top post as well, kepp the top post with the tank it came with, you shouldn't have an issue. This also enables you to use the threaded coil for just about anything Kanger, the bases are the same.

Wait, wait, wait! Hold the phone! Are you telling me if I buy a MT3, I can use my EVOD coils? I just have to swap the top posts?? I've been wanting a bigger "EVOD" but hated the idea of having to buy different coils!

Why didn't I think of that??

When you say top post you mean the part that screws into the base of the coil which slides up the vapor tube?

Blkwdw86 means the top part of the coil itself. The little chimney that you stick into the tube in the center of the top part. The little coils can be taken apart and cleaned or rebuilt. All you have to do is snap that little top tube off the base and it exposes the actual wire coil.

Protank 3 is the best. It uses different coils but you can use evod coils in it too. But the pro tank 3 coils won't work in the pt2 or evod. Weird stuff

I was thinking about getting the PT2 until I saw the review you posted! Now I just have to have a PT3! Thanks!
