Thanks I checked it out. The $12 dollar one is not the genuine. $16 for the authentic but its out of stock :(

Actually the $12 one is legit, although it doesnt say it. Kanger made two different packages for the Protanks, one is the nice black box, the other is the generic box ones that i linked. I have both and they are both legit Protanks WITHOUT a doubt.

The $12 ones are now shipping as the Protank 1.5 version which is just a tiny bit different, theres a re-enforcement piece in the body on the downstem and the hole in the mouthpiece is just slightly smaller.

From Kanger's website:

Mine from FT, including the EXACT SAME Kanger instruction card etc, as the black box model:

The Nitecore i2 is a decent charger, my i4 works great!

Either flat or button top should work fine in it.

Battery size would depend on how you intend on using it. If you dont mind it always in light saber mode, you can just run 18650's in it, giving you nice battery life but a bigger unit, if you intend on taking it out and about you'll probably want some 18350's so you can run it in short(er) mode.

Most people speak very highly of AW brand batteries, seems most people get them through RTD Vapr. Efest also seem to be relatively popular (i was unable to get AW, the efests work fine for me).

Also, if they're available there, you may want to check out the stainless version. Its less of a finger-print magnet and the ribbing is a bit less obtrusive than on the gunmetal (100% personal opinion mind you, i have the SS one)

Also if you can wait a bit you could save yourself a little by going through fasttech, theirs are about ~$36, you can get a kit with panasonic 18650's and a nitecore charger for around $58 from them, with free shipping .

Heres the link: $58.85 Vamo V3 Stainless Steel Variable Voltage E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set - with Nitecore I2 US battery charger / 2*Panasonic CGR18650CH 18650 batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

im very intrested in this, wondering if you or anyone can help me understand what all the 5-in-1, 6-in-1, 7-in-1 means in the buying options. im lost there but for the price this looks really good and exactly something that im looking for shortly down the line here, thanks.

FT generally names their kits by how many pieces it comes with, ie their 5-in-1 kit: 1 Vamo, 1 CE'4 Clearomizer, 2 Batterys, 1 Charger = 5 item so, 5-in-1 i guess.

No idea why the V3 kits in stainless are not named in this fashion, but FT gets pretty crazy when it comes to naming/descriptions of things.

You should be able to modify it yourself if they haven't begun to pick/pack it yet for shipping. Go into the manage and track orders and click on the details for your order #.

There should be buttons/options for canceling each individual item.

But then you'll probably want to send them ANOTHER email telling them nevermind, or else they'll really be confused...lol

I'd agree about not getting the ce4's and Evods from FT. I have bought the 10 pack of Evods myself, expecting some to be duds. Out of the 10, only 1 had bad seals, so I was quite impressed with that. I do however, re-wick my Evods with cotton, so any wicking problems wouldn't be an issue for me.
I'd also recommend the X9 Protank clone from FT, I believe they are on sale now. I got one a couple of weeks back and was that impressed with it I ordered another 3 straight away. I prefer the X9 to a genuine Protank, the draw is tighter. I've got my X9 paired up with the KTS+ (also from FT), this combo hits like a train, I'm really impressed with it :D

So a little issue came up with my order, I ordered it so quick I think I ordered the European kit/version of the charger.
I emailed contacted them the same day and told them I made the mistake and to change it to the US version/kit.
Do you think they will notice this before shipping it?

When I did that with my first order, it sat in Limbo for 3 weeks. They said they would fix the issue but they never managed to fix it.
Once I cancelled the order and ordered it again with the correct charger chord, the unit shipped the next day.

I have a 12 dollar protank from ft as well and it seems to be the genuine article. Only issue ive had with fast tech is i bought an rba and its post isn't long enough to make contact with a mod. Also all their drip tips work (surprise) I'm not sure how you could mess up a drip tip so for the price i bought a bunch.
