A couple friends and I are ready to kick the bad habit of smoking (analogs, lol) and are ready to invest in APVs..

When we started discussing ECigs last night, the first name that came into my mind was the "Silver Bullet".. I've known that name for about a year or so BUT I do not know any other alternatives of the same class of APVs.

Could someone please briefly tell us what other APV's compare to the Silver bullet?

What we need for now are:
- Long lasting battery capacity.
- Availability of eliquid tanks.
- Availability of accessories and replacement parts.
- Cool design and some freedom in customization.

Price is not an issue as long as we get what we pay for.

Thanks! :vapor:

If money isn't an option I would just get the Provari. I love the mods I have but I could have already bought a Mini Provari and a Zenesis a long time ago. For ease of use the Silver bullet would be a great choice, if you want vv/vw take a look at a Zmax or the Vamo. If you want a no fuss mechanical mod the smok Telescope is a decent choice. The Adam from Team Rampage is on my radar now, take a look at that mod as well.

the VAMO is another alternative if you want to get into variable volt and variable wattage device for a fraction of the cost of a provari that will fit almost any 510 accessory. to start though, another popular device seems to be the eGo twist that is a variable voltage device...these can be had for around $20. so you could get that and a kanger t3 or some type of clearomizer and enjoy that much better for a lot cheaper than a provari and VAMO. then move up to the bigger variable voltage/wattage devices once you figure out how awesome vaping is!

it all boils down to personal preference. i think 98% of the people on this forum start with one device and they end up getting a different or many other devices. i would probably start with the eGo twist, kanger t3, and some juice and see how you like it. then if you don't for some reason your overall investment is still really low.

I started with the basic 510 starter kit and quickly moved on to the eGo models, then to the eGo CTwist, and should have a Stainless Steel VAMO in my mailbox today or tomorrow. Like you, I'm wishing that I'd done the research and gone straight to a VV/VW vaporizer. The best price right now is Health Cabin. They have a sale right now on their site. If it's out of stock, check back in every day, it's usually not out of stock for longer than a day or two.

By the way, for some reason they call it the eGo Bamboo.

i have one of these on the way too! can't wait! just note that healthcabin is in China so it takes a bit to get to the states (from what i've been reading 7-10 days which isn't bad)

I ordered on the 23rd with free shipping ($250+ order) I guess because of the size of the order, they shipped it DHL.
24th- processed china
25th- landed in Hong Kong and cleared
26th- Arrived in Los Angeles, sent to Seattle, Left Seattle at 9:43 a.m. and is presumably on it's way to Portland, OR for sorting and then on to Woodburn, OR. It would be nice to get it today, but I'll probably get it tomorrow and certainly no later than Friday.:D
DHL Rocks!

Thanks to all of you for your valuable input..

I think the 3 of us here made a decision, we'll get the SilverBullet and if we manage to keep away from cigarettes for a couple months or so, we'll probably upgrade later to the ProVari or whatever seems good in the market at that time.

I just went to the AltSmoke website to order 3 of them, the options are A LOT, and we really don't know what we need (So much batteries, atties, etc..)

Is there a website where we can buy standard kits? (otherwise, can you guys help us get started with the confusing options they have?)

Thanks a lot!

AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Smok - Rebuildable Tank (RTank)

Are you talking about the r-tank? I really don't see why "they" always say "for experienced people only". All rebuildable tanks are easy to use, and simple to figure out. If one is not mentally deficient and has a fair degree of dexterity, and the ability to read, they are really simple to use. That one looks similar to the Vision Rebuildable, except the RTank appears to be leak proof.

EDIT: I guess I always have used them on "protected" mods. WhooHoo! protected mods, saving the world, one stupid vaper at a time! and I didn't see the picture the first time I read your post.

First of all, you need to decide what juice carrying devices that you will put on top of your Silver Bullets. I made a picture dictionary of these devices here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...minology-carto-tank-what-lol.html#post7562212

Most of these devices can be ordered from Altsmoke. I personally wouldn't add these items as part of the Silver Bullet "starter kit", but separately. If you can not decide which delivery devices to purchase, might I recommend you get a few of all of them so that each individual in your small group has a chance to try each one. Everyone's preference will end up being different, as each device performs a little different from the rest.

I would recommend getting your batteries and chargers from RTD Vapor: RTD Vapor

Any of the AW Protected 18650 batteries are a good choice for the SB. The mah ratings give you an idea how long each battery will last in average use. 100 mah = 1 hour use. So, the 2200 mah will last 22 hours; the 3400 mah will last 34 hours. You should purchase a minimum 2 batteries each.

Genuine AW Batteries at RTD vapor

The single bay Xtar charger for $11 should suit each of your individual needs. Xtar MP1S

RTD Vapor has one of the largest selections of drip tip mouthpieces of any online vendor; I recommend each of you grab 2-3 to put on your cartomizers, atomizers, cartotanks, etc.

i would advise against a rebuildable kit until you are a more experienced vaper...bad things can happen if you aren't familiar and educated about RBAs! we wouldn't want to ruin your new PV with noob mistakes now would we? :p rebuildable stuff is better used on a mod that has protection like the provari and vamo.

edit: Baditude posted at the same time i did. i second RTD Vapor for batteries and a charger. they are super super fast and prices are pretty good! (i think i had my batteries and charger in 2 days)
