I have closed one and merged these 2
and since you have these, will not be using the 2 you posted to Ask The Veterans.


Members here are extremely helpful...but you will end up being confused with answers in 5 locations.

Well it never hurts to learn got a start some where right!

You're right! Usually starts with the learning part though! No one is trying to discourage you here, just want to make sure you don't cause yourself some problems (both from a safety perspective and from a financial perspective too!)

You don't solder wires onto the battery. You use battery connections, like in a AA battery box.

EDIT: Ninja'd by ninfreak.

In the RC hobby, battery packs are often made by soldering directly to the battery. It's not recommended for DIY mods because not many bother to install a charge circuit to their build. You are right to recommend the use of contacts instead of direct soldering in this case though!
