This is all as clear as mud. I managed to put in the team number and my user ID, but from there have no clue what it is doing. My name doesn't even show on the list. But, I do get a "high CPU usage" message and it is this app.

Your name won't show on the list until you complete a WU (work unit) and it's sent home, vsummer1.

It shows 0.00% so I guess that it isn't doing anything at all. Just flashing me high CPU messages.

ETA: If I go another day like this I quit.

Pause FAH. Then go to advanced > Click on Configure > Advanced. Then move the slider for CPU usage down to 85% and see if that helps. If not then try moving it lower. Click on save and close out. When you get back to your FAH control page, click the fold icon.

You can pause your GPU units while you are on the computer and it should be unnoticeable as far as performance. as long as you turn the gpu units back on when you are done they'll get completed.

There was never an advanced section for me under configure. I had to drag the client window wider the get that option.

Yes, best thing is to expand it to full window when you are first setting up FoH.

My ppd is low, only about 2650 because I'm only running smp on 2 of my 4 cores. I built this rig for gaming but that was at least 5 years ago, and since I don't game anymore I haven't made any upgrades.

My poor little laptop is squirting out about 80ppd from it's wee Celeron Did I mention that it is older than my desktop? lol

Nope. I don't think I'll live long enough to get 10 WU done.

While I like seeing how many points I can make in a day, it's like I said before the points don't actually matter, the work that we are doing does. And you are in it just like the rest of us and that is what actually counts. =)

I was wondering what the bonus points were actually for. That would explain why I have been getting more lately.

Edit: Though all my wu that are a day or longer only give 14093 points. That seems to be the cap, for me anyways. Or that's all it will show. I notice if I pause it at all the credits will slowly drop till I start folding again. I have no clue how they actually work.

I'm not really sure .kmh.. The started with the bonus points when they started the passkey a few years ago.
