I am currently using an ego/evod setup and love it....I decided that I needed a backup, so I started shopping around. I really like the iTaste MVP and the vamo. I think I am leaning on the MVP...but wanted input from anyone who has either before purchasing. On a side note...has anyone used their debit card on fasttech's website? I wasn't sure if I should get a prepaid card to use or not. Thanks!!!

The Vamo is significantly better than your eGo. It's VW which is close to "set & forget". It has a 5 amp switch, unlike the ego, which has a weak 2.5 amp switch. The batteries cost $11 and will last 2 - 3 times longer than an ego battery.

Most end up with the ego as the back up. In the iTaste group, I would look at the iTaste V3 over the MVP.

I had the Vamo and just ordered the MVP from fasttech. I use them quite often as you can't beat their prices anywhere.

The main difference between the VAMO and MVP is that the Vamo is VV and VW where the MVP is just VV. But, with the MVP, you can use it to charge other devices and the battery lasts a long time.

It really depends on what you are looking for. I didn't care for the Vamo because it felt so cheap. So for my VW needs, I use an SVD or a Sigelei ZMAX telescoping.

You'll definitely be getting a size upgrade with the Vamo. With the power advantages it holds over the eGo, I was thinking about getting one myself for the house and keep my eGo Twist for on the go and at the office.

I'm curious myself about Fasttech - haven't ordered from them yet, but some of those prices are too good to pass up.

Is VW that much better than VV? The only thing that I wasn't sure of with the Vamo was that I would have to tote batteries and a charger when I travel....There isn't an option to plug it in to charge, is there?

That charge feature is what hooked me!!!

With the Vamo, you would have to bring batteries and a charger.

The only difference between VV and VW is that with VW, the vape will be the same at a certain wattage no matter what resistance your atty is. With VV, you would need to change it for different Ohm coils. They both get you to the same place, just in different ways.

The MVP is more similar to an eGo twist. You can only set voltage, and there is no Ohm meter. The MVP doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some other mods, but coming from an eGo, it is still an upgrade.

I have ordered from Fasttech many times and never had a problem. I only pay using Paypal, so I get the Paypal protection.

This is why I mentioned the two I did. VW is a better means to regulate power, IMO. Since it self regulates itself, it provides a consistent vape. Unfortunately, some don't understand VW.

But if you wanted the form factor of an ego, along with being able to charge it as you vape as well as being VW, the best option is the iTaste V3 instead of the MVP.

For most, the Vamo will provide 10 - 15 hours of vape time on a charge. So unless you are going to be out overnight, the need to carry an extra battery is small.

I started off much like you about 2 months ago. Luckily my friend opened a vape shop near where I live. From there I bought an eVic with a protank which I love. Vape clouds are huge but the taste wasnt just quite doing it for me. However compared to the eGo setup it was way beyond in vaping capabilities. The next logical step for me was mechanical. At only about 1 month into the hobby I bought an M28 MOD with an AGA T2 tank. My friend built the first coil for me but after a few videos I was making my own. I think serious vapers will all eventually go to MODs because the taste and cloud production are simply incomparable. Correct me if im wrong though..

Note some of my friends who started at the same point ended up getting Pro-varis instead of the eVic. I have not tried a Vamo.

If not it would be safer to use a prepaid.

I finally caught up with 1999 and made a PayPal account. :D. Thanks for the help!

MVP seems to be a great device I dont own one but I've played with one a few times at my local vape shops .I have a VAMO, EVIC and SVD .I dont recommend the VAMO if you going for VAMO type I highly recommend the SVD if you want all the bells and whistles then the EVIC ...but if you want a box type then MVP you will be happy with it. the only thing I dont like about the MVP is it doesn't read ohms and I rebuild my attys if it did I would buy one
