  • Wanting some good feedback from this knowledgeable forum of experienced folks out there. I I have been part time vaping for a little over a year, and earlier this summer went ahead and took the head first plunge into sub-ohm vaping. Got my first two 50 watt box mods (50 watt Istick , and subbox mini), and two rda's. Picked up a smpl mech mod, but looking for something bigger in watts for a regulated box mod. I have narrowed it down to two brands, Sigelei, and Pioneer for you. The Sigelei I think is more intriguing with around 4 models that looks like they would do the trick (75 watt tc/150 watt tc, 100 watt plus/150 watt plus). The IPV4s is really the only non-Sigelei that I am looking at. Any words of wisdom or real word experience between these two brand and various models between them that can be offered to myself and other newer folks looking to upgrade power and feature wise.

Thanks

Personally I like the mods with 2 batteries for the longer mah. I have the Sigelei 150 watt regular mod and like it enough to strongly consider the 150 TC. I don't push the watts in my vape so I'm mainly interested in the mah life.

My neighbor just showed me his ipv tc which held 2 18650's and it was a sweet little unit also.

Buying a TC unit is kind of pointless unless you are using nickel wire in the coils. I've found using TC on Kanthal or NiChrome does little to nothing at all. The drawback is nickel wire is a little pricey but easy to work with and allows you to totally personalize your vape experience.
Hope this helps. Vape on!

not sure I would qualify as wise, but I would wholeheartedly recommend the sig 150tc box - just because it is capable of TC doesn't mean you have to run it in TC (to dispute MrDripper's point) - just means you have that option

great mod, solidly built and lots of room to grow with it - have used mine with drippers, sub ohm tanks and TC - love it

Avoid the fakehybrids like the SMPL unless you understand it.

Have yet to hear anything bad about the quality of the Sigs.

I have the IPV4 and like it... well I like the power, the reliability, the battery life... but I do not like the mirrored display window... cant see the display in moderately bright light... for what it is and does was worth the price.... I do like the rounded edge, smooth easy to hold, easy to find the button side... I normally use it in my left hand so the rounded side fits in the crook of my thumb/fingers.... it just feels good there. Even tho its stamped aluminum, it has survived drops and falls ( several times... more times than my Vamos could handle... they took 1 fall each and died terrible slow painful deaths)

DC, originally from the Lafayette area, grew up around Eunice. Have been primarily on both sides of Texas if not in Texas. Love me some panera bread though. When my family and I lived in San Antonio we would never take the kids. It was my wife and I's treat. Drive thru only for them. Second the boudin and Tasso. Best stop or Don's. cracklins too.

Bunny, that seems to be the biggest complaint on the IPv4. I think the mirrored finish got resolved on the IPv4s.
DC, how does the fire button on your two Sigs compare? Love the 100/150 plus buttons looks like it will take a beating.
Romano, good point on hitting the vape shop and doing side by side comparisons. Living where I do, I am about 45 minutes from civilization so I have to plan my vape shop visits accordingly. Finding myself ordering more and more items online.
