HELP!!! Genesis Style RBA wicking issues

I am using a kraken rba with cotton yarn for wicking and 50/50 juice @ .77ohms on a K100. I am getting way to many dry hits even when tipping the whole thing to help wick. Any suggestions? Thanks

What kind of cotton yarn are you using? If you have too much yarn in the coils you will get dry hits. I've never used anything but SS in my Genisis attys, but I know with cotton you tilt to get the coils wet before you vape. Is this what you're doing?

SS mesh is great for clean flavor and it lasts a long time. It does however have a learning curve. Took me a few weeks of working on it and trying different things to start getting some dependability form my Genny builds. There are also a number of different ways to work with it. Google and a lot of research will be your friend here

The biggest issue is shorts from the coil though the mesh and the deck to ground. The RSST has a insulated wick hole which eliminates this.

This video is a good starter on one way to do it without oxidizing the wick. She pulses the shorts out. I do it the same way. Little details will make a big difference though.

I put the biggest drill bit that fits into the wick hole and build the coil on that and take out the drill. I roll the mesh so it goes into the coil snug but not too tight. Too tight and you get too many shorts. Too lose and you get a metallic taste.

After that it's all about handling the shorts.

What type of yarn are you using? It looks to me like you've got too much in the coils, but not at all sure.

I find that hand rolled organic cotton (from a ball) works best in a genny.
