Hey all!
I am in a bit of a panic of sorts. I have 2 Ego batteries that I got with my kit approximately 2 weeks ago. I keep one charged up and use the other one. My battery I was using lost its charge and I got the other one out and started to use it but it was not charged for some reason.
I have been trying since I got home to charge it but it is not charged yet and it seems to be taking a long time! My question is how long do the Ego batteries usually last? I would surely think that they would last longer than 2 weeks with the price that they cost! I am hoping that mine just is slow charging and I am anxious cause I cannot use it now Uggh! til I get one charged!
Any advice would be appreciated or experience would be appreciated.

The batteries may be fouled with juice causing them to make poor electrical contact with the charger and/or the atties. Wipe out the battery connection area and try again.

Also wipe out the area that the battery screws into as if the batt did have juice inside the threaded area (where the atty screws into) then you would also clean the charger..
You can charge it and takes 2 hrs to fully charge but if its not charged two things may be bad here.. First the charger or the battery. It does happen as my charger went in the first week I had it.. If you screw on a battery onto the charger, does the battery come to a stop? Or does it seem to want to keep turning?
Either or, I do suggest that you open a ticket if the battery still doesn't charge after the cleaning.
Do you have manual or Auto batts?
If manual, clean the inside threads.. If auto then you might have gotten a little juice inside for which I suggest to leave the battery (with the threads facing the floor) in a cup with a paper towel or couple of napkins underneath the threaded part, just in case any juice comes out as it's not sealed like the manual batt.
Hope this all helps and let us know how you make out!!

FYI,

I had a similar problem with my eGo batts. Less than a week old. I plugged it into the USB port of an older DELL Dimension desktop at work and it would not charge. Just sat there with the red charging light on for over 6 hrs:shock:. I waited all day for it. Came home and plugged it into one of my IBM's and it charged right up - weird. Today, I plugged one of my other eGo's into a DELL 2650 server at work, and it worked. Something about not enough power at the USB port? Don't know, all USB's I have are version 2's. Strange.

Maybe try another computers USB port?
