Okay I know this has been addressed on here multiple times, but I am going to ask a question that I dont believe has been answered yet... I have read on the threads on here and pretty much tried everything.

A little back story first. I got some new e-juice from a local store about three weeks ago and I have been vaping their Menthol, 1/2 Hazelnut 1/2 Vanilla Tobacco, and what they call American tobacco, since I bought it. I love their juices because they had more flavor than anything else I had tried. Well 2 weeks in is where the problem started

After the first two weeks, everything lost their flavor. I kind of freaked out, but I looked on here and realized that it was a pretty common thing to go through. You just have to let time take its course and heal.

That was a week ago.... I still have no flavor!

So my question is this, should I have stopped using my ego when I lost the flavor? If I would have had to stop I would be back on cigarettes. How am supposed to get the flavor back?

P.S. - My wife still thinks they taste strong, so it is not the juice.

I have been there mate. For me it was vaping the same flavor provided less flavor over time. I normally rotate a few juices in my arsenal each day. If i vape anything for more than 2 days i start to taste less of it and then it can also begin to taste bad.

Also make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids as vaping dehydrates the body and that too can affect taste...At least it does to me.

Cheers :)

I have tried everything. Tea, beer, citrus juice, brushing my tongue, mouth wash... everything I can think of! I drink alot of water every day, to the point of my doctor telling me to slow down on the water intake, so I am certain that I dont need to drink more water.

I have also tried using different flavors, thinking my taste buds got bored of the same flavors. Nope I have tried every combo of flavors and all I get is a tiny tiny hint of a flavor.

I am getting frustrated and sad :(

taste buds can also change too mate. try getting juice from a different vendor. try buying the raw flavoring and adding it to your juices that already have these flavors and increase them.

Maybe I am freaking out a little too much....

I have tried the different vendor thing and that didnt help at all. I even got higher PG and double/triple flavor juices with still nothing working.

I guess I just have to wait it out!

i have not experienced losing taste with every juice. that to me could be something health related. not saying anything bad, but it could be something that your body is trying to tell you.

I smoked for 40 years and there is still very little I can taste after a month or so of vaping. I was lucky to find that I can taste cinnamon (and I like it, which is weird, since I don't like cinnamon candy). My favorite is RH Candy Cane from Vixen Vapers. I think it has other flavors mixed in with the cinnamon, but I can't taste it. I get 3x flavor with menthol added. The guys at my local vape shop said it was one of the strongest vapes they had ever tried - the only one they had that was even close was a straight cinnamon 100% pg. I bought some, and it's ok, but I still like Candy Cane better. Cinnamon is hard on clearos though, so you have to be careful what you use it in. It killed a Stardust, but so far my vivi mini nova seems to be working.

Other than what everyone else has already said, what device(s) are you using on your ego? If you are using cartomizers or clearomizers, perhaps try filling up a fresh new one with some e-juice fresh from its bottle.

Also, are you exhaling thru your nose in addition to your mouth? Our sense of taste is strongly tied to our sense of smell. You know this already when food and drink flavors become muted when we have a head cold.

Perhaps find a flavor that is recognized by many as a particularly strong flavor. An ECF search for something like "strongest ejuice flavors" might provide some suggestions.

I have some I can recommend but I don't know if you like coffee or fruit flavors, which is mainly what I vape nowadays. VapeRite's double espresso is a very strong but pleasing coffee flavor, as is Mrs. T's amaretto coffee with whipped cream. Virgin Vapors has a couple of strong complex flavors like Kona Velvet Milkshake. On the fruit side, Highbrow's orange de Sangre and Juicy Vapor's ecto plasma are both strong flavors.

In all likelihood, your body, in particular your taste buds, are healing and changing. Try to be patient, it will pass.

remember that when smoking you are burning your taste buds with crap every day. you will begin to heal but it does take time. I started to taste more things about 6 months in. And to be honest, my buds change all the time. I find that Pluid, while tasting a lot like black licorice which i hate, is delicious.

This happens to me all the time. The only thing I've found that helps is to have 2 devices (or 2 cartos or clearos) set up with contrasting juices. Right now I have rootbeer in my Zenesis, and 2 Volt X2s, 1 with mocha ice cream, and the other with poached pear. I take a couple hits from one, then another. If I vape anything for more than 1/2 hour, I can't taste it anymore. This is something that has come and gone periodically through the year I've been vaping. It does not work if I'm vaping similar juices. Rootbeer and crisp cola are not going to contrast enough to wake up the taste buds. Coffee and sugar cookie will.

I'm pretty much like JENerationX. I don't have just 1 or 2 "all day vapes" anymore. Even though I've built a collection of a dozen or so great flavors, I become rather bored if I vape just one for more than 3-4 hours. That's why I have more than a couple dozen cartotanks, each with a different flavor. I usually carry a tank organizer with at least 8 flavor choices with me, and changing flavors is as easy as switching tanks.

I can attest to the dreaded "tasteless" vape. Give it time and you'll be amazed how your taste buds will heal and come back to life. About the first week in vaping, I lost all taste and was quite disappointed.

Stay at it and it will go away!! Drink a lot of water and you see results much quicker. This is my experience and of course YMMV.

I am using an ego t upgrade battery with 4 different clearomizers. 2 of them are 2 weeks old, 1 was a week old, and the last one was brand new. I have also used 11 different flavors ranging from hazelnut to mountain dew, fruit flavor to coffee. Some with double flavor some with triple. None that I can taste though.
