I got my first tank in the mail and I can't wait to try it out. Problem is, I don't know how to open it to fill it! I know, I know... But I've looked at tutes on the web and people already have it all nice and open when showing how to fill it. The bottom comes off doesn't it? The only thing that I can get to come off is the drip tip. The cart is down in there so I can't get that out. Please help out a newbie, I'm so excited to try it an my new juice!

It's the smoktech ego dct from gotvapes.

Thanks guys. Yeah I was really surprised that it didn't fit. I went back to the page where I bought it and one little bitty line says "this will only fit an ego, must use adapter for a 510" Grrr. For some reason I thought that the kgo and ego were pretty much the same size and shape. So I found a vendor in Georiga (Stormy's) that could ship me a new Stardust as well as the adapter tomorrow morning. I broke down and bought a pack of smokes for the time being. Yuck. Taste horrid and the second hand smoke is just so annoying. I've gotten so use to vaping I really don't like analogs at all now. Huzzah!

Don't put yourself down for smoking analogs while you're looking for your sweet spot in vaping. It'll come, and you'll never look back! Sorry for your problems, have your thought about getting a bigger better tank like this?.....

Tank Mods

Something like this won't break. And you wouldn't need any adapters either.

I saw this mentioned in another post, looks pretty sweet...if a bit pricey. Has threaded caps and a 510 adapter built-in. :)

This is Version 3 with the clear tank! Screw on caps! Takes the Boge Cartomizers (regular size, not XL) in low or regular resistance with the hole punched in it.
Built in 510 connection in the bottom cap for easy install and removal of the cartridge.

No slipping, no leaking and NO cracking due to a new chemical resistant material being used.

The tank includes:
Delrin threaded caps
Plastic tube with threads
Built in 510 adapter, now works with the ProVari.

Tip: To avoid turning the cartomizer with the top cap, wet the cartomizer with a bit juice before adding the top cap.

Note: Drip tip and cartomizer sold separate.

if you're going to shell out $44, why not get a glass tank? I recommend them for several reasons: First, they don't add anything to the flavor. Second, all of the glass tanks I've seen are made from Pyrex and are practically indestructible. Third, you don't have to worry about the plastic (assuming you're concerned about crap like BPA's). Fourth, you don't have to worry about the juice you use cracking them. Finally, they just look cool!

I just ordered one from here:

Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

All their tanks are 10% off right now if you use this code:
Shipfree10.

BTW, if you want to see how indestructible they are, they have videos of people doing things like throwing them against garage doors and dropping them on concrete floors.
