Hello all,

So my attempt for something like 'Half and Half' has turned into a floral Lysol flavor.

Any suggestions what could save it? or what to add ? or what to not add next time?

The recipe attempted was: (perhaps as a warning to other unless you want to try Lysol)

Flue Cured TFA 3%
Burley FA 3%
Caramel FA 2%
Hazelnut TFA 3%
Maple LA 3%

Has now steeped for over 2 weeks.

Thanks,

I created Pinesol, trying to make a Pluid Clone with my own mixture of flavors. Not sure what it was. I'm guessing the anise flavor in conjunction with too much citrus flavor. I'm not pitching it yet... But it's already been steeping for at least 3 weeks. Not sure if it's going to get any better. Luckily I only made 6ML and it was with a base flavor i didn't like anyway.

Try TPA Absinthe and citric acid.

Half and Half? Why do all of that when all you needed was bavarian cream

Since then I have purchased Absinthe and used a recipe on here. I was trying the other route until I was able to make the Absinthe purchase. I just made it not too long ago so I'm letting it steep. So far, it's good. Which is surprising because I don't like licorice for the most part... However, I find the mixture of the flavors intriguing.

Thanks mostlyclassics and Jimi D.

It smells very nice just translates to chemical. I like the idea of dilution being the solution. not sure what I would add it to, but it's funny that you mention anise Rin13. I wonder if dilution plus licorice (I don't have anise on hand) would help? Hmmm. There is anise/licorice in 'half and Half' or at least it's describe that way. They also mention liqueur but not sure which one--- brandy?--- bourbon?

The "half and Half I'm trying to replicate is the tobacco blend called 'Half and Half' also knows as 'Burley and bright' not the dairy product but thanks twistedtimes. Half & Half - Half & Half pipe tobacco reviews

Thanks again everyone.

Okay,

I went to the site and I noticed they use alcohol in the mix. Try doing this...

Burley
Virginia
Crown Royal for your alcohol, this is the secret ingredient most are using. They are putting in either a quality whiskey, vodka(flavored) or even a tequila. Think like a bartender and you will get the quality tastes.
