So I need some ideas for keeping my tank from leaking at work. I work in a 34 degree cooler and every so often ill find juice all over my battery. My theory is the cold is making the o ring contract so the juice comes out where the coil screws in but also you can see the juice in the hole where it touches the battery. Ive been thinking about taking a napkin or cloth and wrapping the tank up in the case I use which I keep in my pocket so its not outright in the cold. My get up is an ego t 1100 battery with either a mini protank 3 or an evod 2. also my old tank that I gave to a friend was an aspire bdc. I use a 70/30 PG VG blend but am thinking about going back to 50/50.

Those are all BCC clearos - the air space is at the top and the only place for liquid to be forced out is at the bottom. When you move a BCC through an extreme temperature change the air space expands or contracts. When the air space expands it forces liquid out the only available opening - at the base of the coil assembly.

The best you can do is keep your setup upside down when not in use, keeping the coil up. That will minimize the amount of liquid forced out, but any liquid held in the wick can still be pushed out even when the clearo is upside down. BCC clearos are not the best choice of gear for someone working in an environment where they move from hot to cold and back often.

get a lanyard and hang your device around your neck and inside your jacket. I was having a similar problem when I was in some cooler weather a while back. Not the perfect solution but seems to definitely help. Also as a secondary note, when you're not using it and it's tucked in your jacket, be sure to turn it off. lol I know it's pretty hard on my batteries and scares the heck out of me when I lean against something.
