This may be a little long sorry in advance. I have been using since I started a month or so ago the EGO T style with a pyrex smok aro 2 attached. I bought several of the ARO 2 at a sale locally so I could change out my juice more often. Today I got a Itazte MVP 2 and I need some help setting it. I have played around with it a little using these aro 2 tanks and sometimes I get burnt taste and sometimes not enough taste. I am more a taste than a vapor but I have heard that you don't set the voltage it will set itself according to you device you have attached and all you need to set is the wattage. I have the pyrex aro 2 on there right now filled with juice and it is reading 2.0 so I am needing to set it right. I know it is personal preference for most of it but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my first device and I truly love it but just want to make sure I am setting and using it properly. Also when I take the tank off sometimes there is liquid in the thread part of the itaste is this normal or not don't want to damage it since I first got it.

Start with the wattage low and turn it up until you get the flavour you desire. Also make sure your juice has had time to wick in the tank, meaning don't fill a tank and start going to town right away. Give it five minutes. You can also try a few priming draws, suck air through the tank a few times without firing the MVP. Good luck!

Its says the ohm I think this is right 2.0 does that help or am I looking at the wrong thing? They are bottom coils still new to all of this

welcome

sounds like you're doing fine

yeah, that's all blown outta proportion
it's like a fan - if you want more or less air flow
you turn the speed up or down- do you know what RPM the fan is turning ?

just chose one (volts) and start low (3.6v) then work
your way up to where juice tastes good with out burnt taste...

just do that awhile, you'll get used to it...

AND: it's either Volts OR Watts, never both
can't set both at same time, which ever one you touch last
that's the mode it is in...

do some dry pulls (suck but don't push fire button)
it draws juice into wick, you'll know if it gurgles you did it too much
just a matter of experience...

:)

Pressing both the P and V buttons simultaneously will give you the ohm resistance of the coil attached. Doing the same with no tank attached will say "NON", meaning the ohm reader doesn't see an attachment.

A potential and common issue that can come up with the MVP can come from over-tightening a tank. You can press the fire button and it will not fire the coil. Check the ohm resistance and it will say "non". What has likely happened is the center pin of the MVP has been pushed too far into the MVP and not allowing electrical contact with the coil. It may be a good investment now to purchase a micro screwdriver set to be able to tease the center pin of the MVP up a mm or two whenever this happens.

If you use voltage mode, an easy formula to use is to measure the ohms and add the number "2" to get a voltage setting. Ie. 2 ohm coil + 2 = 4 volts.

FYI, you will be using either voltage or wattage mode, not both simultaneously. Whichever mode you selected last it will remain in that mode.

I have the MVP 2 and use it with the Smok Tech Pyrex Aro tanks. I use the P button only, and set the watts to 8.00 when I use my MVP with these tanks. I've found I get good vapor and flavor with this setting. I do not use the U button, only the P button.
