Yeah... That looks like a Crack. LOL

It should be OK. Just might not Look so Hot.

Don't know if it is aluminum or steel. If Aluminum you might have started to melt it if steel it should not have had a problem. You re the one using it so it is up to you if it is safe. There is probably an insulator in the button area that will melt if you get it hot enough to color steel so do not do that unless you take it apart.

It is mystery metal. Should be safe.

That crack would turn into shrapnel, or shoot a concentrated jet of burning gas and could make you blind if something was to happen.

I wouldn't risk it. I had one battery go about 5 years ago. It gave me a 6" line of 3rd degree burns across my thigh. Quite painful.

I personally wouldn't, but it's up to whoever is using it to decide.

Depends... does the crack run all the way through or is it surface? (Judgement call either way on your behalf)
