Hey everybody! I've been thinking of getting into vaping for a little while now, and I'm still a little overwhelmed with the vast wealth of information floating around involving personal vaporizers. I'm an avid hookah smoker (1-3 bowls a day), and I occasionally smoke cigarettes and would like to cut back on the hookah, and cigarettes all together.

In order to satisfy my need(s), I want to go for something that isn't just your standard e-cig/vp. I want to actually invest a little more money and time into building a unique unit that will provide me with not only something to do/toy around with on my days off of work, but that would produce impressive clouds. Now I know a lot of people are against "cloud chasing", but it's a hobby of mine, I hate to say.

I've been reading as much as I can, but I can't really find any solid advice for builds, and how to even assemble them. I have a budget of roughly $100-200 to start. I appreciate any help!

Thanks!

First off, I always recommend starting with an itaste vv 3.0 or MVP 2.0. They are cheap, and provide an output similar to a provari. Only difference is that it will drop slightly before battery dies, unlike the provari. No extra batteries to full around with, and it will get your feet wet. I own both.

I recommend starting with a cartomizer tank. I can get rather large clouds from them, and tons of flavor. Probably have the least bit of hassle once they are primed. If you go with the vv3-19mm would be what I would go with, but 22mm will also look fine.

If you decide to go with the rebuildable atomizers, which sounds like you do, do you feel like dripping a few drops in every so often is a BIG hassle?

Thanks for the suggestions! There's a local shop about 10 minutes away that carries the iTaste and the eGo Twist. How do you feel about the Twist?

I wouldn't mind getting a rebuildable sometime in the future, however for now, I'm looking to invest in something that won't be quite as difficult, just so I can find my place in the vaping world.

I keep seeing all of these crazy batteries in the picture thread, such as the Nemesis. Are these rebuildables? If they are, where could I get something compareable that is noob friendly?

What exactly promotes large clouds? The atomizer? Or the battery?

Thanks again!

If you are just starting out and want to quit smoking, make sure you never run out of anything. I quit 3 months ago and I lived in fear of not being able to vape. I doubled up on everything. Had chargers at work, extra batteries, extra coils, extra juice, etc. Of the group that started vaping with me, I am the only one who has not gone back to cigarettes.

I would also agree on the MVP 2.0. If you use hookah that much, it seems to me that you would want something with a bigger battery so it can last you. I have the MVP myself and I love it. I vape pretty heavily and I can get up to three days off a charge if I'm working. When on my weekends, I usually get two at the most. Looking into building your own coils, the MVP can handle the lower ohms and has short circuit protection and an Ohm checker as well. Hope this helps out! Keep on vaping!
