Hi Halons,
A brief history to explain the situation. My husband and I stopped smoking analogs cold turkey four years ago. About a year after we quit, I began dabbling in vaping. I didn't stick with it because I was using some junky kit that was worthless, and I didn't realize there were so many better options out there. My husband never tried vaping, and pretty much scoffed at the idea.
So fast forward to today. I have been vaping with Halo G6 and mini tanks for about a year now, and thats all I use. I have no desire to "upgrade", and I dont like to tinker or worry about separate atomizers, coils, voltage, yada yada yada. I just like a simple no fuss vape, and my G6 set-up gives me that. I am currently vaping 18mg 80/20, and in the process of weening down to 12mg, then hopefully 6mg, but I don't want to go 0mg because I have to have some throat hit.
Now, out of the blue my husband has expressed an interest in vaping. Probably seeing me vaping with my morning coffee or while using the PC has made him nostalgic for the habits he had as a smoker. Like me, he has no desire to have an analog, but he know thinks he'd like to vape. I'm all for this of course, but I have a couple concerns about how to start him off with something he will find satisfying. Here's why:
1. He wants to start and stay with 0mg. That would be fine but he was a much heavier smoker than me (two packs a day vs my one pack).
2. He smoked regular tobacco analogs, and I smoked (and now vape) menthol
3. He is, in general, harder to please than me.
In short, I'm worried that a simple G6 with 0mg juice will not satisfy him, and I also have no clue what flavor to suggest because he doesn't like menthol and says he doesn't want tobacco taste (actually scrunched his face up when I mentioned it, lol)
I thought about getting him a G6 kit and a juice sampler, and if he doesn't like it I will make good use of the hardware myself. But I'm wondering if it wouldnt make more sense to start him off with something like the Triton? I don't know much about it, other than its bigger than a G6, and its manual (something I hate, I need auto batteries!). Before I get one, I'd like to know, can it be used with my G6 mini tanks? Or do you have to deal with separate atomizers that need maintained and replaced? I want something low-fuss, he has a nerve disorder that affects his hands and he's not going to want to fiddle with a bunch of separate parts like that. Also, since he's insisting on 0mg juice, will a Triton deliver more of a punch than he would get on a G6 with 0mg?
I just don't want him deciding on his first day that its all useless, and since I am only experienced with the G6, and menthol juices, I'm not really sure how to guide him into this. Any and all advice is appreciated, thank you!!
