Blu is probably responsible for more first time vapors than any other vendor. I see them everywhere, and they spend big bucks on advertizing, racing sponsorships, etc. (My first was a Blu disposable, then went to Logic, a superior product. The batt life on the recharge was very good. They just have the 2 nic flavors, however. I see Logic almost as often as Blu)

I wonder how responsible Blu is for people going back to analogs. I really think Blu just wants you to buy them for occasional use. As a replacement cig when you can't smoke. Reading through the forums here, it seems over a third started with a Blu, then went forward to something better after 10 days. But how many Blu users don't go forward, and just revert back to analogs (and might be years before they'd give ecigs another go?) Blu is an excellent example of why ecigs can't say "this is a smoke cessation device."

I most definitely went back to cigs after repeatedly attempting to use Blu. For years, though not often, I would give the Blu a go, but it just.... sucked.

Most recently, for several days, I used the hell out of Blu in anticipation for the arrival of my Triton and the juices I ordered, and after vaping the Blu continuously for 10-20 minutes, I'd CRAVE a real cigarette and I'd have one. Sometimes I'd have both going at once!

It was pure hope that the Triton and good juice would be a different, and truly satisfying, experience. And, it was. I quit in one day. One day! And I actually didn't mean to. I thought the Triton would serve as a substitute to help me cut back on regular cigs, not completely replace it.

Anyway. Once in blue moon (no pun) I'll still find myself reaching for a cigarette. I swear I even dreamed of smoking one when I slept yesterday. haha. What helps for me is that technically I am not supposed to smoke in my apartment. I love not worrying about that so very, very, very much, and love not smelling of smoke or having my place smell of smoke (instead it smells of vanilla and chocolate and pineapple and cinnamon and plum and mint), that my occasional cravings are quelled.

the reason they can't call an egic a smoke cessation device is because it hasn't been tested by the various departments around the world. the FDA I think being the USA one. If they based the smoke cessation on success rate, then gum has about a 1 in 10 success rate in getting someone to quit smokes, and it'd fail the test.

gum has a far worse rate than 1 in 10.

i dont think the rate of success matters, what they test for are how often harmful side effects occur (apparently the suicide rate for Chantrix is within acceptable levels) and that the drug -may- do what it is advertised to do.

You're very cynical wheezal, I like that. but cynicism aside, it has nothing to do with suicide rate, it has all to do with money. You can buy someone for pennies on the potential billions you could make with a favourable verdict. I didn't follow it closely, but I believe the FDA just approved a very addictive pain killer against the advice of the FDA board. someone got paid $10,000 and a 10 day cruise to let that drug pass. so the drug companies will make, lets see 10,000 * 100 * 1,000,000,000

you underestimate 'Murican officials...we dont get outta bed for a bribe less than $100,000. i imagine to bribe someone in the FDA would cost -way- more then 10k and a 10 day cruise.

I've read that ecigs have 3 times the success rate of other nic replacement methods. It does need clinical testing.

I was just saying Blu doesn't work as a cessation device IMHO. My criteria for ecigs are they have to look good, have to taste "right" and satisfy, have to be easy to use and have to work, day after day. The Blu does look cool, but it falls on the other 3 points. Yes, easy, but charging batts continuously? Why? Someone tell me how long a G6 lasts. I'm sure longer than my Logic, and 2 bats lasted me a day.

And Blu might satisfy initially, but the cartos fade quick. If the Blu worked as well as the G6, it'd give many more users a better chance of quitting.

And of course, it's about the money. That's why BP and BT are trying so hard!

Blu was my 'gateway' - I bought one at 711, and the next day ordered a V2 (before I knew about Halo of course). Two days after the V2 came, I ordered my Triton:p

Almost identical. And I'm sure hundreds of others here. One Blu, then the Logic for ten days, doing due diligence researching, then the mighty T.

I mean, who gets a provariable as the starter? Prolly the same people who learn to drive stick on a Maserati.

@Treats is honest and brave enough to admit that he bought into what I like to call "forum BS" Congrats to you @Treats and to a greater or lesser degree every single one of us have or will buy into the "OMG...its so great. My hair grew back and I'm making a movie after only 1 hour with (fill in the blank, tanks, juice, apv, coils, mods, toppers, cases, etc )

The above may sound harsh but really, most folks mean well and are truly nice and yummy folks. Great folks. However, "you/we" get caught up in the forum love juice, the emotional charge of the moment as opposed to a cold hearted pragmatic view. More BS: we are also wanting to fit in, in some cases bloviating BS, in other cases it's like how cool am I with my polished chrome you name it or love juice that makes my toes curl and you should never vape it until it's steeped for 6 months! My fav is "you can't appreciate the taste of this juice unless you use a "dripper" LOL :) so go get a 510 atomizer"

So what's left? We have each other, we found the Halo Mother Ship, and that's most important combined with a willingness and the reality that what we "try" in the vaping world requires the propensity to engage in trial and error. Frustrating as Hell sometimes but at the end of the day the pluses outnumber the minuses.

Some thought provoking comments on the Blu which was my starter and after two days it just didn't cut it so I went back to cigs. Almost as a joke I was goofing around in Google and by accident found ECF. My jaw dropped! Having owned/run a very large Forum myself I zeroed in on the number of posts and my friggin jaw dropped again! YIKES! Another world. The rest is history!

Actually Halo is way to smart to engage in a battle with BT/Blu/Njoy etc. Comparing the Blu with the G6 and cig like bats and ONLY carts they are aimed at two different markets of newbies. The Blu is a far superior product from a marketing perspective inside a B&M chain like Wal... something. IMHO designed from the ground up just for that channel. Looks like a pack of cig, cool Black, charge in your pack, cool looking sexy babe Jenny with the "touch" to the hunk, and the Hunk Boy on the beach and the 5 day growth to market it. Not a computer in site. No geekness required. Just what the corp buyers at say Wallgreens love. Shelf love! Perfect. Remember, Im ONLY talking about the marketing perspective and NOT the crappy battery life, overpriced limited selection cartos etc. Again, it's the chicken or the egg thing. You can have all the money in the world to market BUT first you have to land on the shelves of a huge store like Wallgreens. Corp buyers are even worse than me. LOL Who cares about the resistance of the heads. Does it sell in a limited trial first? Does it look good on my shelf? Does it just work for Sally or Jimmy who have trouble using their land line telephone? LOL It might be advisable for me to post a pic of a Halo newbie starter kit that B&M authorized dealers sell which is very cool and I think most of you Halo Heads have never seen. It's different than the ones on the web site and carefully designed for the retail shelf B and M marketplace. Stay tuned while I find it in my stash and vape on. See below!

EDIT: Enjoy

@Boy
Dude, I know all about the Halo Triton's awesomeness!:p
And I know this is a Halo forum.:D

This is just my answer to finding something (ANYTHING) that comes CLOSE to a Triton as far as taste (as well as being able to handle liquids the Tritons can't -with a metal tank setup in this case-... had been hunting high and low with glass setups BUT NOTHING COULD COMPARE:blink:) in a 510 delivery system.:D

This is not me telling you to forget about Halo and stock up on Kayfuns/Russians/or clones of either INSTEAD of Tritons... this is me telling how I have found a good use for all my 510 mods, which thus far have NOT COME CLOSE to the Triton, as has been discussed in this thread.:toast:

I knew you'd be angry with me.:(

Always so quick to be disappointed in your young padowan.;)

My Tritons get used 90 percent of the time and now I can also use my iTaste SVD and iTaste 134 instead of watching them collect dust like all my Davide BDC's, Aspire BDC's, IBTank, Protank, MT3s, iClear 30's, etc.

I'm only having any luck at all with V-Fates & iClear30S's for flavor coming CLOSE to the Tritons (but not quite).

Igo W and L are nice if feeling like dealing with dripping (which I usually don't), so my first kayfun clone (actually a russian 91% clone with airflow control) gives me amazing flavor in a tank form.
Clearly less simple to tinker with on the fly - as you stated - as well.

I SING HALO'S PRAISES PERPETUALLY!
WHY MUST THOU CHASTISE ME FOR SHARING HAPPINESS AT FINDING A 510 DELIVERY DEVICE THAT MAKES ME HAPPY???
;):blink::D:toast:
