I am brand new to vaping, just got a Volt starter kit today. So bear with me
My immediate goal is to reduce then completely stop smoking analogs. My long term goal is to avoid inhaling ANYTHING (I mean, except oxygen) However, before I reach that long term goal, I would like to slowly move towards the least harmful products without giving up my strongly engrained habits.
So...

1. What is your reason for using VG instead of PG?
2. Since I am currently using a Volt, would the easiest thing be to purchase empty volt cartridges then get suggestions for VG juices?
3. Can I have some suggestions for VG juices? Like I said, I am new... but I already know I like the Volt's cappuccino, grape, and vanilla. I do not like the chocolate, the cherry or the watermelon. I am neutral on the tobacco flavors so far. I plan to try out lots of flavors, so I would like to have very small quantity options and would like low nicotine levels (eventually would like to go to zero, but don't want to do it too soon).

Thanks!!

I have to use vg because of a reaction with the pg. Wordupecig.com has a very large range of vg juices. They also have variety packs so that you can try them before ordering larger amounts. They always have free shipping and they have been in business for years and are very knowledgeable. I love their American Spirit. It is my all day vape. I also like a couple of the Virginvapor.com juices(Kona Caramel Milkshake) and have an order in to try others. I like Boba's Bounty from AVE(Alien Visions E-Juice) but not as well as the American Spirit from Wordupecig. If you buy the variety packs from Wordupecig they have an option to get 3mg nicotine which is what I am vaping now. I am like you and want to be free of inhaling anything other than O2 one day.

VirginVapors.com has organic, pure juice- amazing flavors. She just shut down for a few days due to an overload but plans to be back up by Monday. She is worth the wait.

Yep, totally freaked out when I went on the site to order and could not get in. I come here and read her post. Do you get a coffee from VV? I have tried the Kona Milkshake, Kona Caramel Milkshake, Peppermint Chill and the Vanilla Peach Swirl and all are part of my regular purchases. I am wanting a good coffee to add to my lineup.

VG juice gives the MOST vapor and is smooth feeling.
VG does not cause strange "allergic" symptoms that PG does with some of us such as sinus issues, sore throat, coughing, itchy watery eyes...Seriously, vaping PG juices is like Hayfever season with me!
Good VG juice vendors are Highbrowvapor, Virginvapor,....these come in high-end containers such as glass or heavyduty plastic at least.
Vaporgod has a few good juices too.
I've ordered some from bettervapes and received lots of cracked & leaking bottles so probably won't order from them anymore.
ECBlends lets you customize which is TOTALLY fun ! Some of their flavors are super!
D&Dvapor has VG but haven't found any I'm in love with.

Adding my question to this thread rather than starting a new one, but I have heard that the ego-t atomizers don't handle vg very well. I'm using some other things, though, like the vision clearomizer, another tankomizer, and the vivi nova. Which (if any) of these would be best to use VG with? I tried a higher pg content last night, but it was too...pg. :) TIA

I wouldn't know. My VG never made it down to the atomizer of my stock EGO-T cone so I burned it out. Both of them that were in the kit. But, that was my first experience with a non-cig-clone cartrige system.

I know some people never move on from the EGO tank/cartridges...but I've never actually used them since I don't see the point of buying lesser technology now.

I've been doing some DIY using VG and VG based nic fluids from rtsvapes (and flavors from all sorts of places) and I have not had to add distilled water. I wonder if their's is already watered down? The VG stuff I've been using seems thick, but I'm not having any issues in my ego Tanks or clearomizers....other than I have to clean them every few days LOL. They do get "clogged" and slow down the whole vape experience:facepalm: Cleaning is easy enough to do though. :vapor: The "throat hit" I feel is perfectly fine with me using just VG. Not sure why so many people think they must use PG once I got used to it that is. When I absolute crave a hit off my Nat Sherman Hint analogs, I light one up and take a couple drags then put it out and I'm good (and back to chain vaping LOL) I don't cough anymore now that I've been vaping for over 4 months and my goal has been reached! Before I started vaping I was coughing up a lung every day from having been smoking over 40 years! That's gone now so hat's off and praise god and whatever else :toast: to the inventors of e cigs! :p
