Well finally registered on here been lurking for quite some time. I would just like some opinions on what setup would work best for me. I have been searching and can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for. Im just going to tell you what features I would like and hopefuly someone can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for something that can go in my pocket with a tank on it. Something that has a button lock while it's in my pocket. And that's going to look decent. I work outside all day so it needs to be durable. I love my vmod but the battery life just isn't what I need I want it to last all day. Sorry for the book lol. But if anyone can recommend me something along those lines and also a good tank I would be very grateful.

PureSmoker LEGACY

This will be released in 4 more days. I've always loved puresmoker's PVs. The bottom button locks so no worrying about firing in your pocket. I realize it's probably more than you want to spend but the PV will last forever. If the battery dies, they are cheaper to replace than an eGo battery. They are all stainless steel so the "nice" factor is there. As for tanks, if you mean a cartomizer tank, one would look great on this mod. All mechanical so you can even drop it in water and still have it fire.

Can't advise anything on the Legacy , as it's not even out yet . But there are lots of durable PV's out there , that will look good with a tank , and use a large battery , as well as having some sort of locking button , GG's , Provari's , Saber touches , Prodigy's , and the list go on and on . The amount of money you have to spend , is the only deciding factor . You might even want to look at the Reo "Grands " . A bottom fed ( no tank ) milled out of a solid block of aluminum , will use 3.7 , 5 , or 6 volts , just with a battery change out , and are reliable as the day is long . Good luck in your search .

You can try a Lava Tube for starters. Fair price for a starter kit. The Reo Grand is another good chioce. Got a locking button and built to last. Silver bullet has a recessed button and won't really fire in your pocket unless you have something else in there. And it will fit the Kick module. And the list goes on.

So with the ego batteries which kit do you need to use the visions. Or does it really matter which one you use

I would not go with an ego or a lavatube. Why pay more or the same for less?? The ego is only 3.4 volt and comes standard with a smaller 650 mAh battery. The E-Power & Kgo are both true 3.7 volt batteries and come standard with 1000+ mAh batteries. The Lavatube can't handle dual coil cartomizers. The variable EVO handles all attys and cartos.

Again, why pay for less??

Without budget in mind I was going to suggest a Silver Bullet earlier, long battery live, and mine has hit the highway at 70mph and is still kicking...still looks brand new really lol. The button doesn't lock, but it is recessed and has never gone off in my pocket. The thing is solid, good looking, and is tried and true.

Thousands of us have been using stacked batteries for years with no issues. That's just scare talk. Many devices use stacked batteries.

Thank you wv2win

It's how I get 6 volts out of most of my PVs, and my VV box couldn't be very variable without that second battery...I dropping one big battery isn't much safer than dropping two stacked small batteries.

I agree with martinc. eGo works with the majority of the attys and carts out there and works great with the EXCEPTIONAL vision clearomizers. I would just add that a variable voltage passthrough version is relatively cheap and makes it a very versatile choice.

If you like weaker batteries, cold vapor and limitations and want to pay more for less time on charge, then ego is the way to go. I would rather pay $4 for better batteries than pay $15 - $20 for the weaker batteries in the ego. I guess if one has no comparative experience, the ego must seem like the best PV on the planet.

I agree, Tommy. When you can't match the power, cost or warm vapor of other models in the ego category, then throw out the non-existent safety arguement.

Might look at the Megalodon. Can be used in two sizes, stealth mode (18350 or 16340 battery) or standard mode (1 18650 or the 5v battery that's become very popular or stacked 3v batts for a 6v vape). It's aluminum so it's pretty light, even in the big mode. It does have a locking bottom switch as well. You can run the eGo Visions on it if you like, you need an adapter for those though or any tank/atty/carto you choose.

That middle section can come out to make it a nice little stealth mod if you so choose.
