I really hope Baditude sees this thread and chimes in. It stands to reason that if efest DID actually produce a true 35a/60a 18650 battery, he'd know about it. Also, let's not forget that the OP wants to build as low as .01 ohm. That is ludicrous. No battery or even a regulated device can handle that safely, and I severely doubt that many have the proper testing equipment to verify the impedance of something so close to a dead short. This thread reeks of danger.

I agree, Beer (I mean, I always agree with beer, but this is different).

It's one thing to believe something completely contrary to what many in the community believe (that Efest batteries don't overstate their ratings, but arguably understate them).

But it's a completely different thing to make recommendations for a build that's simply reckless, based on this unusual belief, in the new members' forum.

If you think you know more about Efest batteries than anyone here, please do inform us with sources and non-anecdotal data, in the batteries and chargers forum.

But for new members, do the responsible thing and say that builds near 0.10 ohms are only acceptable with nickel on a DNA40 device (I realize there are exceptions for a few other regulated devices, but even then questionable IMO).

Indpendent tests show them to be 20 Amp continuous and 35 amp pulse. There is no battery that's rated at 35 amp continuous. Also, your claim that Efest has modified the battery to withstand higher drain doesn't hold weight. to do that, you would have to take the battery fully apart and re-manufacture its chemistry. Something that no battery rebranding company is going to do.

I firmly believe that what you are doing is dangerous and it's only a matter of time before you experience venting. I just hope that you or others nearby don't get too hurt when it happens.

Here's a link to look at:
EFEST IMR 18650 3100 mAh 20A: Attention, these batteries are dangerous!

True the efests are only 20amp batts the thing is i could fire my tugboat with a .05 ohm resistance dual coil setup with the panasonic ncr18650b batts even tho they only are around 7amps this is why when vaping sub setups you need to know what youre doing and know your batteries

I should add that i havent attempted to fire my .05 with the ncr b tho lmao it just would be stupid

Here is a link for VTC5 batts if you really want to spend too much money on batteries
2 Sony US 18650 VTC5 High Drain 30A Rechargeable Li on 18650 Battery 2600mAh New | eBay
Also fast tech still has VTC3 available the last time i looked the mah isnt bad if you have them in a parallel setup (but not great either)
Last min input i promise i wont edit again :) i have purchased from the ebay seller that i linked up there^^ the batts are legit i removed the wrap on one VTC5 to check for sure (also i could just have been the luckiest guy in the world). another thought is maybe try using 26650 batts panasonic has some 50amp ive heard about but cant verify for sure i am building my last 18650 box this weekend then plan on my first 26650 box next week if i find anything good ill let yall know

Didn't think it was possible to build that low anyway not stupid enough to try it. But was just trying to get info on the matter. And I figured it's dangerous to go that low on anything so thank you for the feedback on that one.
