I got my own MAP June 1st :)

I'm using my brother's mod (not sure on the name but it's a 5V..using 3.2 ce2's) and his batteries. He's used it primarily in the past and now has a new one, so it's my go-between until I get the one I want.
I'd ask him but he's away on biz and won't be able to talk to him for a few days..and i'm vaping with a clearo :/

So filled the MAP when i got it, all is good. Then Saturday my ce2 blew..no biggie as it happens. So from Saturday-yesterday the other went
How the heck can I be on my third ce2 in 2 weeks?

Only thing that is odd, it's almost like it was wicking too much..the mod and tank are always upright as I can stand this up,it gets 'gurgly' a lot..but one thing that troubled me, I changed the batteries once and I had juice all in the inside of the mod. (this was after standing all night) I cleaned out Map and mod good, dried it & put it all back together and it was still doing it. Also seemed the second ce2 started burning realllly hot to where my lips started hurting cuz the drip tip was *almost as hot as a curling iron..so i put on a plastic one and it was ok..til it blew.

~So any hints or anything as to what could be wrong? Am i just totally unlucky with the ce2s or are there any clues that you can see i could try to remedy all this?
thanks in advance, i really want this to work like the beginning.

Hi RavenK!

First step...

Use a digital multi meter and verify the Ohm value of the CE2, along with the output voltage of your PV.

Let us know what the values are after you find this out!

PKZ

The flooding may be due to overfilling or the white rubber piece that fits over the ceramic cup is not seated correctly.

We will work on the first step first and fix the flooding next.

PKZ I don't have a meter, I'll have to ask him. Everything I am using he used for not sure how long, months-yr? He's had the mod forever, a MAP since early spring.
Only thing new is the MAP and the Ce2's, I have his mod and batteries and he uses the 3.2 so I ordered those from Bruce.

Which, Harley, I wonder if a couple got in the box by mistake? Anyway of knowing if they are? They were both the new kind with the single wick.
I had a stormy tank before this so i know Ce2's can last for months, so to be on my 3rd in 2 weeks is insane.

~So right now I put a new Ce2 in earlier after I posted, we'll see how it goes..
As far as leaking it was just standing straight up for 2 hours about while i snoozed and the batteries and inside is again full of juice. I had to change them and they're all full of it :/

Oh, PKZ..it wasn't overfilled, it was a bit more than half when this happened both times..below the black part of the Ce2. Say it was good the first few days then just happened out of the blue, while cleaning up the mess, after I put the batteries back in and MAP back on is when my Ce2 blew. The silicon cap looks like it's seated fine so I'm truly stumped. I'll have to take it off anytime it's not in use I guess...just curious how and why it's wicking like that when not in use.

..edit, other threads are talking about o rings..I don't have any, am I supposed to?

wow really lol? I'm really sleepy but I will if i have to, not til later though.

Basically like this except I don't use a glass table to pop it off :O
YouTube - ‪Howtothemaptank.wmv‬‏

other difference I do is totally wipe any juice from the tank (Bruce's was new and free of juice)..just want to mention that I do that incase it comes up.

I'm going to try the flat lil ring on top of the other top that sits over the ceramic and see if it helps as mentioned in other threads.

ya, tube cutter..i had a stormy previous to this so i'm used to cutting ce2's...i cut sterling tubing all day ;)

so it's happening again, i will try your post when i can on helping a leaking tank. my mod stands up constantly unless it's in my hand. if leave the tank on for more than an hour, i have juice in my mod :( and on the table. and then the ce2 goes too quick, i just put my 3rd in and it's just not hitting right on any mod, so this will be ce2 #3 in less than a month.

...what's odd and want to know if anyone ever had vapor come out the bottom of their ce2? like under the tank..by the threads..it did that to me today and i just sat there like ???????
for now i'm not using the tank until i return from vacation monday.

Sounds like your centre post has come unseated and needs relocating again this has happened to me with the Ce2, the post needs to be pushed back into its locating hole so its tight, jmo

I agree, I had the same thing happen to me, once.

Be careful when you seperate the CE2 from the metal casing that you don't cause the long silver center tube to break the seal in the bottom threaded part of the CE2. it should not be loose or wobble around.

i thought that also eyebrook, but i checked..i even took it all the way apart and cleaned it twice to be sure everything was sitting right.

dunno, i'm just super unlucky i guess, i'm persistant though, it won't beat me lol!
..just popping in so you know a bear didn't eat me haha!! i'm just too tired to deal with the tank yet, i have only one more CE2 to try as I had to give one to my brother since I stole one of his before...so I may wait until Bruce gets more in.

I have been having the same problem with blowing carts with the last bunch of CE2's that I bought. I am using 3.2ohm and a privatization set at 4.5 volts. I had some 4th edition CE2's last for over 2 months in the past and now I'm lucky to get 3 days, so I'm starting to think it might be the 5th edition one that might be the problem. Any thoughts?
