Hello vape friends...I have been searching and searching for a great menthol vape...I know lots of folks say DIY...but I haven't ventured there yet mainly due to time constraints; I just have to find that 8th day in the week...LOL

I like Mystic by Halo the best of what I have tried but the PG is killer for me! I have tried several others that are ok...but minty or spearmint...kinda not my thing...I have recently been mixing the Mystic with a few tobacco's that I have (high or MAX VG) to mellow out the PG but just hope I can someday find the one!!

Any thoughts you have on a good menthol (with or without a tobacco) I would GREATLY APPRECIATE!!

Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have!

BTW - I smoked Marlboro Light Menthol forever....and have been off the analogs for 8 months this go around!! I feel I have going back to the analogs beat MOST days...I seriously never want to go back to the stinkies EVER but sometimes lately I am finding it a challenge...

Vape on!!

Hi, JK,

I know you aren't looking to jump into DIY, BUT

Menthol is probably the easiest flavor to DIY; you can just get menthol crystals and add them to your liquid. (For faster results, throw a bunch of menthol crystals in some PGA or vodka). Since menthol is a pure flavor you don't have to go searching around for a "good" one. It's readily available on e-bay and amazon, and 4 oz (which will run about $15) will last a lifetime.

If you use vodka, you will find that it separates into 2 layers; on the top you have an alcohol-menthol mix, the bottom layer is just water (with very little menthol, you can just discard that layer). But if PGA (i.e. everclear) is available in OK, use that.

These guys MaddCatt Vapors have several menthol flavors to choose from. I usually stop in on Fridays to sample the juices they have on sale. They mix your juice right on the spot & you can get high VG. Here is their strongest version Menthol Blast which might work great for mixing with the juices you already like/have. It's pretty potent for me by itself but they have lighter versions too...

Thanks for this easy solution...I may just have to try DIY - You make it sound ok...lol

Standard recipe, easy to do - even if you're not into DIY (yet)

1 : 1 ratio , mix like 20 grams of menthol crystals in to 20 ml PG or pure grain alcohol. PG is slightly better as it's not 'layering'.
Dissolving in PG is done best with the mixing bottle in placed in a heated waterbath. With that solution, you can mentholate just about any liquid ( though mentholated cappuccino ain't ma thang ;) ) .

About 3% ( i.e. 0.3 ml per 10 ml of liquid ) yields the typical menthol taste. Heard of vapers that go as high as 7%. Above that - a deep inhale will give you see-through toenails ;)

Start low ( 2%), then add in small steps till you find your personal sweet spot.

Woks also with unflavoured liquid to make 'pure' menthol flavour

Put together a sampler of menthols at The Vapor Room. They do have limited PG/VG options for the sample sizes (one of them will lean toward high VG), but you can get any of them after that at 15 ml or larger size in all the way up to 100 VG if you want. If you did a 5 pack sampler that would still leave several of them out - they have a lot of menthol. It's definitely not mints masquerading as menthol either. The Port Menthol is especially good - think Newport - a menthol with a tobacco flavor in the background. The 555 menthol is more of a really strong 'straight shot' menthol. Would highly recommend you do not go for extra flavor on these until you try them out first.

What are you vaping on? Egos? Cartos? Dripping? I have found that mint or menthol tastes very different depending on the device. I know that's true with just about any juice, but it seems the difference is more pronounced with menthol and mint flavors, at least to me.

Having said that, I too smoked Marboro menthols and searched for months for something to replace them. Never happened. I gave up and now vape bakery (cinnamon), fruit, and sweet tobacco blends like Boba's Bounty and my new favorite - Cuttwood Boss Reserve.

I also recently tried some Mister-E Liquid Green Van. It's a wintergreen mixed with a touch of vanilla to soften it a bit. Which takes me back to my first point - the Green Van was very smooth in the store where I sampled it in a clearomizer on an ego battery, but when I got home and dripped some using one of my mechs I found that the mint had a pretty wicked throat hit. I still like it but have to be careful not to take huge lung hits.

Another flavor that I find satisfying - and I ALWAYS have some on hand - is black licorice. Seems to do the trick in a smoother menthol-ish kind of way.

Anyway, I was unsuccessful in finding a Marlboro Menthol replacement, and have pretty much moved on.

Good luck with your search.

Well...I wanted to update all you kind folks who comment/suggested juices...I have found that I really like the Ice Beard Menthol Tobacco from VCV...I ordered several flavors and love that there is no PG! I am really noticing a difference without PG...I still have some juice I love from other vendors with low PG...just have to be careful not to go vape crazy on them!
The Ice Beard Menthol Tobacco from VCV is a light menthol / light tobacco but I am really enjoying it!! I did save the note above with the DIY instruction and THANK YOU for that...going to try my hand soon at that.
In the mean time I just wanted to thank all that responded...You are all kind people and someday people will write songs about you!! LOL
